Has anyone been to a wedding where the bride and groom sneak away sometime during the reception to squeeze in some extra pics with their photographer? (At the reception venue, but maybe for purposes like different lighting, scenery, etc. ) I had never heard of this until recently and I wondered what you all thought of this etiquette-wise.

    I have heard of this, I would imagine you would do it during the dancing so guests wouldn't notice so much.

    We did this. We got married in a winery so later went into the distillery and barrel rooms for a few photos. Guests could see us through the window into the distillery. We still had plenty of time to spend with our guests.

    All the time! It's not rude at all, and they're usually back within 10 minutes.
