Smoking - Red Flag or Deal Breaker?

I don't like it, will not kiss an ashtray mouth. My fiancé knows this and is a social smoker. He smokes when he's out with friends who smoke, but he doesn't smoke at home or on a regular basis. He will brush and gargle prior to kissing me if he has been smoking.

Red flag, if I love the person I can’t change them. It’s their responsibility to take control of their health and he actually did. He used to smoke, knew I didn’t like it and wouldn’t kiss him when he did, but never told him to quit. He did it all on his own.

Deal-breaker. I can't stand smoking, never have

Deal breaker. I have lost interest in guys after finding out they smoke.

Deal breaker for sure! My mom actually made my dad stop chewing if he wanted her to marry him. Haha

Red flag.

It's a nasty habit, but evidently not a deal breaker for me. That is something he'll need to tackle though. Ideally before he moves in.

Flaming red flag. Absolutely NO for me. I have a very healthy and active lifestyle. No cigars, weed, nothing.

Yeah totally a deal breaker for me. My FH used to smoke years ago, years before I met him. So glad he quit.

It wouldn't be a deal breaker or a red flag from me. I grew up around it in the house. I smoke and so does he. I don't mind if other people do around me but I am very conscious of how other people may react. I don't smoke at work, or around people that I know shouldn't be around it, DEFINITEL:Y not in crowds and I do my best to follow all laws regarding it i.e., not littering, not throwing burning butts out the window (wildfires), drive through windows etc.

Red flag, but not a deal breaker.
In a perfect world, my FH wouldn't smoke. But he wants to quit, is working on it, and cut down severely years ago too. I have great faith in him, but I know it could be a long process.

It wouldn't bother me if he smoked.

Has he ever snuck one? Hope he's been able to resist the urge. It's been difficult for me. I don't try to hide it from my new bf but I try to be conscientious when we're together. It just hasn't been possible when we vacation together or I spend the night.
