Small wedding venue southern WI - northern IL

Sandra, on July 15, 2017 at 12:00 AM Posted in Planning 0 14

Looking for a small venue for about 50 guests somewhere spanning southern WI - northern IL (We would prefer to stay out of Chicago or Milwaukee) for a November wedding. We would be willing to go as far west as Galena, IL. We would also prefer no churches or golf courses. Thank you!! Im having such a Terrible time with this.

The vendor tab can be very helpful in finding places

I've spent days scouring the vendor tab, thank you. Ive been in contact with vendors and it seems like everywhere i contact has a 100 guest min. I don't know what else to do but ask.

Ah okay! If you have friends in those areas you can ask them or google "event venues in ------". I'm in Northern WI so I don't know that area too well.

For 50 people, you might be able to rent a larger private room in a restaurant, if you're open to a dinner party reception without a DJ or dance floor.

Where all have you been looking? I've been researching venues in the same general area, mostly in Rockford Illinois and haven't seemed to notice a guest minimum in my searches.

The Double Tree in downtown Racine has a max of 95. Recently remodeled and a beautiful view. Also the Masonic Temple has a junior ballroom for up to 100. I think Fountain Hall accommodates small parties. I live in southeast WI and I've been researching the area. I also have a lot of friends recently married around here.

If you're open to a restaurant, Mickey Finn's Brewery in Libertyville has a completely separate back function area with private bar, and I know has hosted weddings before!

How far south? The Haight in Elgin, IL is under your budget. It doesn't require a minimum amount of guests, only a max of 175 for ceremony and 225 for reception.

I agree with Chrstna. The Amber Room at Mickey Finn's is a great venue.

This isn't really helpful I just got excited to say I'm originally from Racine! And to @DanielleB we actually held events at the Masonic temple because my grandfather is a member
