Small wedding party?? HELP?!

FutureMrsBorrero, on March 26, 2017 at 3:01 AM Posted in Planning 0 10

We're having a small destination Xmas eve wedding and I literally only have ONE friend that is helping me with everything. I want to give her a gift and ask her to be my maid of honor. Same with my fiance, he only has a best man....is it unusual to have just a maid of honor and best man as the wedding party? I have a habit of worrying about what others will think about their not being bridesmaids and groomsmen....HELP!

We were going to do that but ended up having 2 MOH and 2 Best Men. Still small considering all those photos on Pinterest with like 8 people on each side of the bridal party lol. I think that will be just fine! No one will judge you for that.

We only had one person each standing up at our wedding with us, a maid of honor and a best man. It was just perfect.

My FH and I are only having a MOH and a BM. I don't know if it's a weird way to do things, but we're having only a maximum of 20 guests, so it works, proportionally. Mine is pretty much a DW. Do what works for you. Smiley laugh

Nope you can have as many or as few as you want in your bridal party. You can choose not to have a bridal party all together.

I've officiated private ceremonies just like yours, Jewelesa. I've also had single attendant weddings in front of two hundred guests. Your guests will be there to support you not critique you on your big day. It's going to be great. Best wishes!

It's fine to only have one on each side- and makes things cheaper and easier for you. BUT you shouldn't be picking your party based on who is helping you with wedding stuff. Pick who you're closest to.
