We are having a small destination wedding (invited around 55, looks like we’ll have maybe 40) and I’m getting so worried about the vibe/dancing aspect. We are going to be at a beautiful beach house for a week with most of our guests and the ceremony and reception will also be at the beach house. I LOVE to dance so a DJ was super important to me. A good amount of our friends should end up wanting dance, as we always do at weddings, but I’m still getting worried. Can anyone who had a wedding around this size share what their reception was like?

We had 59 people at our ceremony and reception. The Dance floor was going all night. I created a playlist for the DJ of songs that we absolutely wanted at certain points. The DJ filled in the rest. As long as you have upbeat songs and an enthusiastic DJ, guests will dance.

I can’t speak from experience yet since my wedding’s not until September, but I also have an <50 guest list. I’m counting on the DJ to keep the party going, and I’ve told a few of my friends who I know love a good dance floor that I expect to see them out there haha. Another thing I’ve seen is people ask for song requests as part of the RSVP. People will definitely join in when it’s their jam playing!

I didn’t have my wedding yet but we’re having a very intimate wedding. About 10-12 ppl. If it’s people there who really love and support the vibe is going to be great no matter what 🥰where having music, dancing, cake cutting and all. The only difference is it’s not going to be as long (about 4 hours for the entire thing). I say do want your heart desires
