I've seen posts like this before, but then people are posting one carat rings, I'm looking for .5 and under. My whole set is .25 carats. There are honestly times I kind of wish I'd gotten a diff one and it makes me feel disgustingly materialistic, but I sent my FH a few I liked online without knowing he was going to order one while he was still deployed overseas so I didn't get to see how it looked in person. I have tried tactfully bringing up the subject of maybe upgrading or trading in the future thinking he wouldn't be so hurt since I did pick it out, but I was wrong. I do really like it a whole lot better with the wedding band so I can deal with the engagement ring for a year. And it does have a lot of meaning to it just the fact that he kept telling me about multiple guys in his unit whose wives and girlfriends cheated on them during the deployment, and he bought me a ring in the midst of that. And I am disgustingly sentimental. Anyway, here's mine! Show me yours!

I also do not know the specifics on my ring, but I love to show it.

I know a lot of people trade in to trade up but I personally couldn't. I would never trade in my engagement ring...i would get another ring but, always keep my first, it means too much.

Beautiful rings! Here's mine; it's not the best picture. It's a little under 3/4 carat. I don't have a matching band yet, since this setting was a custom piece some other customer had the shop make, but she ended up not liking it I guess. Works for me!! I love the swirl effect.

This is going to sound crazy but I have 3 wedding rings. However, I do not have an engagement ring. He never officially proposed, we just had a kid together and had already been together for 5 years. After 1 1/2 years we started talking about getting married (something he swore he would never do) but life delayed us, he returned my ring to pay bills and a few years later I was pregnant. We were extremely broke at this point in our lives when it came to "luxuries", so even though he had set up amazingly romantic dates before, he never officially proposed and I did not have a ring until we walked down the aisle. My first ring was a citrine surrounded by little baby diamonds. This was sentimental because it's both of our birthstone (and now our anniversary stone). It looked like a yellow diamond that I had originally fallen for but we could not afford the extreme price tag attached to it.

A few Christmas's later, I found a white sapphire ring with baby diamonds that I was smitten with.

We were still, however, looking for diamond bands to put with my original wedding ring. All of the bands I found were out of our price range and one day, while looking for the bands, I found a champagne diamond & white diamond ring. DH liked this one a lot better because it had another attached band to it, making the back of the band very thick and less "delicate". When I get home I will try to take a picture of my original ring, I cannot find a picture of it the moment and my 3rd one is over 1ct tw.

I know it's CRAZY that I have three. I actually really like it because when I need to turn one in to get cleaned I still have a wedding ring, which is actually the reason we purchased the sapphire ring. Before that, I needed to turn in my citrine to get repaired because a diamond had fallen out but I refused to go without my ring because I felt naked without it. No woman needs 3 wedding rings, I know I don't, but it is nice to always have one to wear and to know that later in life

If one of my kids wants to have one of my rings as their own, there won't be any fighting. My step-daughter has already called dibs on the sapphire ring.

@Laura good for you... I know it seems like were judged by the size of our ring and everyone wants to see it and they talk about other people and their giant rocks but its silly... its literally a rock that we think is pretty and shiny so it gets marked up x a gizilleon dollars.

Mine engagement ring and wedding band are family heirlooms handed down from over a hundred years ago I have no idea what carat it is... the told me its a mine cut which is something you wont find in modern rings because they cut them thinner so they appear larger so it doesnt look grandeous or anything... I love it though <3

Mobile so i can't post a pic, but I prefer a smaller ring because of my profession. I do wayyyyy to much with my hands and wash them a billion times a day as well. He wasn't happy that I wanted a small ring though

I consider mine to be small. The center diamond is about .8 of a carat and total is somewhere between 1-1.25. I have small hands so I told him I would look ridiculous with something too big and I wanted it to be practical for everyday wear.

Although he already talks about an "upgrade" and I'm not really for that until like 5-10 year anniversary. And by then, I hope I have bigger things to worry about (babies!!!)

My main diamond is 1/2. And I love it. I don't like big diamonds. Unlike my sister who just got a 2 c. It's just too big and gaudy to me.

FH Found mine Smiley laugh I LOVE it. I'm not really a pink type of girl... (Abby Sciuto as my profile pic should tell people something) but I ADORE this pink sapphire! It's in Black Hills sterling silver, with Black Hills gold leaves in rose and green. The wedding ring will have two sets of the same leaves on either side of tree CZ's. FH's ring is tungsten with gold Nordic dragons around the middle.

    OMG FIVE DAAAAAAAAYS!!!

I don't know the spec's, but my engagement ring is unique & beautiful. It has 3 rows that represent our future family. we will be raising 3 kids together. Please note that some couples renew their vows with an upgraded ring on different anniversaries. 10th, 15th, 20th etc.

I'm not sure how big my center stone is, but I know that the whole ring is about 1-1.25 carats. But, your ring is beautiful! I love the shape of it. Everyone has really nice rings!
