I'm having a small wedding of no more than 30 guests (right now the count is at 25) in Manhattan where I live with my fiance. We have some great choices for the reception venue--renting out a private dining room at a restaurant--but I'm at a loss about the ceremony site! The ceremony will be short, no more than 15-20 minutes, and we have a couple of elderly guests who will need to be seated. We have our own officiant, so booking a church may be touchy. We're splurging on the reception, so I'd love to keep the ceremony costs low. Here's what I've looked at so far:
-Public park permit (cons: weather, seating, coordination)
-Harbor cruise (cons: on the pricier side)
-Seaport/Chelsea piers (cons: I can't find a bookable venue! Anybody know about pier event permits?)
-Rooftop (cons: price)
If anyone has any ideas at all, I'd love to hear them!
