Small European Wedding.... help

jamie, on June 15, 2015 at 2:13 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

Hello,

I would like to start planning for a small european wedding for a maximum of 10 people!... I know very little of where to find the best venues but the countries I am interested in are Paris,Italy,Ireland. At this time I have my heart set on doing it by or in a castle and I heard Ireland are famous for their castles. If anyone has any advice on planning a very small wedding in Europe and can advise me on venues, cost and accommodation please do I will greatly appreciate it!!

I don't know a lot about the planning, but definitely get your license in the USA if you're planning to live here.

Maybe start out with this website: https://www.destinationweddings.com/ It's what my best friend used to start her search.

Depending on your budget, check out Eastern Europe. There are some GORGEOUS castles there. Poland tends to be about 1/3 the price of what you would pay here in the states. Partially due to the exchange rate and partially due to the economy.

At one point I was considering the same thing- I've been to Europe 3 times in my life, and husband and I had been to England together- this is where I was going to go with if we had wedding away:

I know you said Ireland, but if you were a friend of mine asking I'd suggest you take a look at the website of the Royal Pavilion in the UK. I personally haven't been there since 2001, but it was even more breathtaking in person that the web site- and I think the prices are very reasonable. Brighton also has some great bakeries Smiley smile

Guys she's from North Pole. I'm not sure if this one is real? jamie we get a lot of trolls on here. If you're real would you mind modifying your info so we know you're actually interested in real responses?

If you decide to get married in the UK I think in terms of license you need to get your marriage license in England and it will still be valid in the US. But that's the first thing I would advise checking out.

If you want a castle there are about a billion of them in the UK but be warned - some of them can be pretty pricey. You'd need to be a bit more specific about where. I can't help you with Italy or France, but I can certainly help out a bit for the UK.

First thing to remember - the dollar is weak as anything against the pound and euro. So your $5000 dollar budget for example will only get you about £3000 pounds. And that will not go very far at all in the UK. Our prices are high compared to the UK.

Haha PK, that's the first thing I noticed. I hear Paris is a lovely country to visit. If you are serious about this request for more info you'll need to provide us with a lot of additional details. What is your budget? Where are your guesting coming from? Do you plan to rent cars or do you need to be near public transit (or easily accessible with taxis)? Slane Castle outside of Dublin is lovely. http://www.slanecastle.ie/castle/castle_weddings.php
