Small cocktail reception

We are having a very small wedding of less than 30 people in a giant cabin/lodge. We want the ceremony around 730 and the reception immediately following. With so few people are there any activities or ways to keep people entertained that are still classy? (I know people on here dislike cocktail receptions sometimes, but we want to be able to mingle with family and friends without having an uncomfortable seating chart situation. There will be plenty of alcohol, food, and seating)

    How are the cocktails being served? If there are a few cocktail food stations those will help guests mix & mingle. A fun guestbook table with some photos of you both and a fun guestbook (puzzle piece to be signed, “date night idea” notes to be signed) will help too.

    How far is the cabin for guests? If there a reason why it’s starting so late? I’d be starving by 8 pm.

    If you are starting on time that means ceremony at 730am, reception at 8pm, dinner at 9pm that's really late..are you not having a cocktail hour? or are you going straight to dinner?
