What's your stance on slow dances at your wedding reception? Do you have a few slow jams planed to get some extra romantic moments dancing with your new spouse? Or are you skipping the slow songs and diving into the party? Are you down for some slow songs at your reception? Yea or nay? Photo by...

Are you down for some slow songs at your reception? Yea or nay?

Mostly nay, but I would like more slow songs. We've yet to finalize our wedding play list. Smiley smile I think it'll be mostly Classic Rock and Country though.

Yea, absolutely! Slow songs are what got most of our guests out dancing.

We will have a couple slow songs so we can have a couple dances with family members but we will definitely keep it to a minimum.

We will have a nice mix so our older guests can have sometime on the dance floor. But I want slower songs during dinner so my guests can enjoy eating vs missing out on their favorite jam. We are also thinking of having an anniversary dance to set the dinner mood and then one to pick it back up after eating and a slow last dance to close the dance floor.

Yay!, Yes to a beautiful romantic slow dance with my baby. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I say yay, but not a ton. I want to have a few minutes every couple sets for just us. Plus I feel like my aunts and some of the older crowd will dance more to slower songs then they would at dance songs.

But it will be mostly dance music we want it to be a party

I've started asking people their wedding songs. Mostly under the disguise of us finding ours, but really I would love to sprinkle some in.

A few are good to have. Not the entire playlist though.

Yay! I think adding slow songs makes the difference between a wedding reception and a club.

Of course. They're expected at a wedding. But I wouldn't imagine more than a 1/4 of the songlist being slow.
