Any brides who want to team up and help each other slim down for their gown with me? I don't have social media, there aren't a lot of gym classes near me and I'm having trouble staying motivated on my own to lose the last 30 pounds before my December wedding!

    I don't think I'm stressed so much as just kind of lost right now. We're usually very busy during the summer so I tried to get as much done as quickly as possible so I don't have as much to do in the months before our wedding, but I've gotten ahead of myself so I need to regroup and figure out what's next. I am bummed that the baker I was planning on using will be out of town that weekend so I'll have to find someone else and I have very few ideas lol.

    That stinks that your baker isnt available. I'm excited about mine, bummed because due to covid shes not doing tastings but she did the cake/cupcakes for both my sisters weddings and Im using some of the same flavors they had. Im trying to figure out how we will get everything to the venue since it wont all fit in one car.

    My eating healthier is where I fall down all the time. It seems so hard sometimes but I know that losing weight is about 80% food and 20% exercise (that's what I've heard anyway) so I really should get better at the food Smiley smile

    I agree totally! I totally adore bad foods lol. I may be getting some ice cream today lol but I adore it so.

    Exactly!!!! I like fruit and have tried swapping it out for sweets but I always get bored with the fruit.

    It's hard to eat fruit when you could be eating chocolate or ice-cream. I've just stopped trying to buy it so we don't eat it but sometimes that's still hard too Smiley smile.

    Lol sadly thats where my fiance and I are complete opposites, hes the type where if its in the house he "has to" eat it as fast as possible while I am the type where if I have it there I may eat a bite here or there but not the whole thing, its when I dont have it theres and I havent had it in a while that its a problem. Usually if I put my sweets in a different room (craft room or spare room) he knows its there but out of sight out of mind and he usually leaves it alone. However ice cream needing a freezer is a bit of a different matter lol.

    We're both the same in my household in that we just eat anything we can find in the fridge or freezer. I'm not good at only eating a little bit (except for dark chocolate) and neither is he LOL 😆 So it's better if we just don't buy it Smiley smile. I'm glad hiding your sweets works for you Smiley smile

    Now that its getting colder figure out something inside to use as movement. We were walking the dog almost daily for 2 miles but with it being cold and rainy not a fan. Also trying to get back to eating fruit again inside of hitting up the vending machine at work.

    There is a lot of free workouts online that you could find for yourselves. Could you have yoghurt or pretzels or eggs or hummus with fresh cut veggies as a stomach filler instead of just fruit? Smiley smile

    I usually do yogurt after work. I work 3am to noon so my "lunch" break falls at 7am. Not a fan of hummus and theres very few veggies I like especially raw/cold. Trying to limit snack foods like pretzels because when I sit down to eat them I eat more than I should. I have seen some of the online exercise videos its just finding one that I can do that I dont hate lol. My hips have issues so I try to avoid things that aggravate them when I can. Smiley smile Why does loosing weight have to suck so much.

    Your work hours aren't great for eating great either are they? What do you do that you work those hours if I can ask? Loosing weight should be easier I agree. It goes on so easy and everything bad for you tastes so good but why can't it just go off just as easy and be easy to do? Smiley smile It's so not fair Smiley smile Keep looking for videos you'll find one Smiley smile What about veggie soups? Protein bars? a few crackers with a small amount of cheese or peanut paste?

    No they arent. I am considered part of the freight/stocking crew at my job but my main job is to go through and scan all the empty holes on the shelf which creates a list that the departments are then supposed to fill. I also help with pricing. Only when those two are done do I work freight from the truck. We do some veggie soups about once a month and when I make it we usually eat it for a week. We do very few processed meals so rarely do we eat things from a box or can, I will throw canned veggies into things but canned soups we dont eat very often. Usually they are high in salt and my FH is sensitve to salt (as in he tastes it when its a small amount so alot of processed stuff is too salty for him). He works 3rd shift so both our work schedules suck for eating. Ive tried a few protein bars, not found one I was crazy about yet and they are kinda pricey to buy and not eat lol. We do salads and baked potaoes most of the week because we usually have big meals on the weekends when its hard to eat healthy

    I don't like lots of salt either and when it is on chips it is way too much indeed Smiley smile. You're right about protein bars being too expensive if you don't like them Smiley smile. What about smoothies? They're pretty easy to make and it's a different way to have your fruit? I used a system called Perfect portion and I believe they are available in the US now and I lost heaps of weight ( I put it back on because I stopped eating the perfect portion meals) but it might be something worth looking at? My husband and I like baked potatoes as well and in fact had one this week for one of our meals Smiley smile You could try sweet potatoes as apparently they are better for you then normal potatoes. Smiley smile

    I will look into the perfect portions. I am hesitant to do a program that supplies the food for you because then you are stuck buying that for forever. One of the reasons I like noom is because it teaches you tips for items you can buy pretty much anywhere. It works for me, I just gotta get back on track. I had a baked potato last night Smiley smile


    We have a gaming group we meet up with almost every Saturday for 4 hours and play games and order food usually pizza so Saturdays I am careful about what I eat early in the day and Sundays we usually go to family dinner at my parents house and it's usually a big hearty meal so same thing on sundays. So during the week we do alot of salads and baked potatoes to counter those 2 days lol

    If you google portion perfection you should find it. It's a weight loss program but it gives you all the recipes and you make all the food. If you like the look of the plan let me know and I might be able to send you some recipes to show you what they look like. Smiley smile. I have seen Noom advertised a lot here but haven't looked in to it yet. Sounds like Saturdays and Sundays are yummy food though Smiley smile Like I said before all the good food is so bad for us Smiley smile
