Skipping the wedding party entrance?

Lexi, on January 18, 2019 at 8:39 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 1 11

Is anyone skipping the wedding party entrance in the reception? Are you just having your FH and you introduced? Are you skipping it all together?

FH wants to skip it all. Maybe if they introduce us we'll have them say just "The Newlyweds"
He doesnt want them flubbing our last name!

Our bridal party just walked in behind us. Simple and worked great.

We will not have a bridal party so the DJ asked if we wanted to announce our parents ahead of us and we opted out. I am not excited about the "grand entrance" but will deal with it. Lol!

I just want us announced briefly after our photos. I don’t want the full entrance. Plus after photos idk where else my wp would even go to “hide.” It’ll be cold and dark outside and the venue is only one room.

We skipped it! We were gonna skip our intro as well because we just joined our own cocktail hour. But after cocktail hour and when everyone was seated for dinner we were sneaking in after taking sunset photos my wedding planner spontaneously decided to have my dad introduce us so we could go right into his toast. It ended up working out well! Here’s a picture of that moment where I’m like oh this wasn’t planned but let’s roll with it haha.

We have a small bridal party so we will do it. I was one of 12 bridesmaids once and it took forever, so I totally understand not doing it.

We're not skipping our receptions entrance. We felt like it was a nice way to recognize everyone that supported us on our big day as well as reintroducing our bridal party. My fiance's family is coming from CA to MD so they don't know all of our friends and my family members.

We skipped it altogether. After the ceremony, we did couple photos, then our coordinator fetched wedding party and family as needed. Then, we just slipped into the party.

No WP for us. We sneaked out during cocktail hour to change into our pirate outfits. Guests finally realized we were gone and while we waited outside the wine cave they pounded on the tables. We marched in, gave our welcome speech in French/English, were interrupted by our friend Capt’n Jack, then the accordionist started playing again and we all danced. Freakin’ awesome. ☠️

We skipped it all together. We joined our guests for cocktail hour and just walked in with them when dinner was announced. Here's a pic of us walking to our sweetheart table.

This is one of the few cheesy things I actually don’t want to skip, haha. I like the anticipation and excitement of a grand entrance! But I do plan to keep ours short.
