Honestly in my opinion 7 pm is way too late to be serving dinner, but if it's anywhere between 4:30 and 8, I think you definitely need to serve dinner. I do also work and sometimes don't get to eat until that late or later, but 7 or 8 to me is just a lot of hangry guests waiting to happen. That's way too late for me. I think dinner time is perfect at 5:30.

@Cassidy, 7PM is late for dinner? In my world that is early. If I ate dinner at 5:30, I would need to eat again before bedtime. Oh and no, I do not eat at 8PM due to my work schedule. I eat at 8PM because that is how I roll.

Ah, we each have our own schedules.

@Keisha, where did you cater from? That's a great deal!

Yeah, I could totally picture myself as a bride stuffing my face with pb&j and ramen noodles because I gotta hurry up to go to my wedding, where there's no food. Yeah..okay. I think my FH would be ready to say, "I don't!" Lol!! If you don't wanna do food, I would pick a time that's not a mealtime and that isn't literally right after a meal.

Basically any party that you ever go to has food, from children's birthday parties to graduation parties. Food is part of a celebration. Why would a wedding be exempt? Feed your stinkin guests.

I am so tired of reading this OP's posts. She has no shame in wanting to NOT feed her guests, will seek any validation for her tacky ideas (just like this DB article), and refuses to listen to anyone here. She has been continuously told to serve a meal for a mealtime wedding by dozens of posters and does nothing but argue and post irrelevant excuses about being older and having kids. People need to just ignore her at this point.
