Siblings having wedding near yours

That's great that you're getting good deals but - if you're using all the same vendors, does that mean your weddings will be pretty much identical?

Karmeka, that is a really great attitude to have. I have seen a lot of people on WW who complain when their siblings / cousins wedding is too close to theirs. It's really great that you can share the load of looking for vendors, and get a discount! Happy Planning

I think it is fabulous that you guys are working together toward a common goal instead of worrying about whether your weddings will be too much alike or that people won't want to attend two weddings so close together (both seem to be SUPER common, albeit ridiculous, concerns). I just wanted to praise both of you for your laid back approach. So refreshing!

I love this! I wish my sister was having her wedding near mine. It would be so fun to plan together.

@MrsMck...Vendors bring your vision to life...So if they have different ideas of what they want, the weddings will be different. Heck, even if they have different colors the weddings will be different.

That's awesome! I didn't have another engaged sibling, but one of my bridesmaids got married 1 month after I did. It was SO amazing having a planning buddy who was going through each planning stage at essentially the same time I was! It definitely helped keep us both on track!

That is awesome, my FH siblings got married a few months from each other and it was a HUGE competition between them, so complete opposite. One way 100 times better than the other, but man did it cause issues. Glad it is working out for you. I kept telling my FH that I am so happy we didn't get married last year when all of his other siblings were.

That is awesome! My sister's wedding is 4 months after mine, but both are 6 month engagements, so I was mostly done with planning by the time she started. But I've been able to give her some pointers on vendors I liked or didn't like, and since I'm done with my wedding, now I can help out with hers without either of us getting on overload! And yes, even where we're using the same vendors, our personalities and visions are so different that they won't be very similar at all.

So glad this is working well for your family : ) I personally don't get the whole issue with someone having a wedding 3 weeks or more before/after another but I will say the finding out on FB that my brother was not only engaged but also getting married the week after us freaked me out for some time. Everything works out but is not ideal for OOT guests n honeymoon planning. I think if people talk first...that can make a world of difference.

My sister is getting married a month before me. We got to go wedding dress shopping together with out mom and other sisters. It's been fun!

Not one bit they're at 2 different places the decorator is the same but we have two completely different visions

We also picked our wedding dresses out together very memorable experience
