Show Me Your Modest Wedding Dresses!

I love my dress; I do. The look I am going for is vintage, classic, timeless...and I think this dress accomplishes that. I love the back, and the flair that the tea length dress has. Honestly, the style is very “me.” And I really think this is the kinda dress that my fiancé is gonna love me in. But part of me worries about how modest the top is, especially when I see other ladies on here with absolutely gorgeous low cut/strapless tops. I guess just seeing everyone else’s dresses makes me question mine. I’m not looking for advice about changing mine bc I know I want to keep it...but I’d love to see examples of other brides who wore a more modest dress but still felt beautiful on their big day. 💕

Mine is pretty modest on the front but the back... not so much. I love my dress, but I do sometimes wish it was a little more low cut in the front.
That is a gorgeous dress! It looks so good on you!

Clearly I LOVE your dress! Lol I felt the same way about the dress, but wanted to feel slightly more “bridal.”

Once I modified the cap sleeves to make it sleeveless, I truly felt like a bride!

I LOVE tea length. I was dead set on a tea length with full sleeves and then totally fell in love with a sleeveless ballgown Smiley xd

I might still add sleeves, but probably not

The floor size was a little small, but I love the "fun" feeling it has

I had my dress custom made and each time I went in for the fitting I kept telling them to lower the sweetheart neckline more to show more cleavage. But it never really got as low as I wanted, oh well!

Nothing wrong with modesty, I love the timeless look. This is my dress but the jacket is four sizes too big so you don’t really see the neckline. It’ll be more V neck rather than boat neck.

I think we may have the same dress! I loved it and received a lot of compliments on it. It looks like the attached, but it comes right at the floor. Not as tea length as the photo. I loved the back sheer detail and the bottom of the dress too. I didn't have to worry about what bra to wear, could go to the bathroom alone, and it was comfortable to dance /move, etc.

To the OP your dress and veil/cap are lovely!

Is yours the Oleg Cassini tea length from David’s bridal? If so then I have the same one! I am short (4’10) so it hits the floor on me 😊 I love the dress! I have the same feelings as you about being worried it is too modest. I have French think about possibly changing the cap sleeve to a tank style but I probably won’t lol

Oh my gosh, it makes me see a bride actually in the dress. You look gorgeous! And yes, twirling is a must! I’ve consideres removing the cap sleeves too...they’re super uncomfortable!

Yes it’s that dress!! I like the cap sleeves but they’re pretty uncomfortable so I’ve considered changing them too. I guess we will see! 😊

I LOVE tea length dresses!! Mine is a tea length too!! Personally I like being a little more covered in front. I feel like I would be so self conscious if I had a strapless of super low cut dress.

And twirling in a tea length is a MUST!! I think I spun for about 5 minutes straight in the shop when I tried this dress on. My MOH knew at that point it was my dress!

Your dress is GORGEOUS! Agreed, tea length dresses are so fun. You’re right about the front! I’d probably feel self conscious if it was any other way. I never wear things low cut or strapless normally, so I doubt I’d feel comfortable wearing something that way on my wedding day.
