Should we send another save the date?

on June 15, 2019 at 1:33 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5
Hello all! We originally sent “save our dates” for the 13th and 14th for our Buddhist ceremony the 13th, then our catholic ceremony and reception on the 14th. Last Monday out venue burnt down, and now we’re no longer having our reception and catholic ceremony in the same area! We are now having our catholic ceremony and reception on the 13th back in our state, and then our Buddhist ceremony the 15th. Should we send out new save the dates? Thank you!

I don’t know if it’s necessary to drop more money on STDs but I do think you should let your family and friends know for sure the changes

I believe it's best just to let them know. I honestly would be annoyed of getting so many invites ( 2 save the dates & invitations).

Sorry to hear about your venue. That sounds nerve wrecking.

I don't think you need to send another save the date, just update the wedding website. The invitation will let people know of the change in venue. If anyone has mentioned getting hotels since receiving their save the date, I would text or call them to mention the venue change.

Especially because the exact dates of which ceremony is happening when have changed, I definitely think you need to let people know. (Even if all guests will be attending both ceremonies, the dates have changed from the 13/14 to 13/15, so they may need to know for travel plans/time off/etc.) Depending on how large your guest list is you can probably do new STDs without it costing a lot. However, I also think it would be completely appropriate to send an email and/or text or call people or whatever to let everyone know about the changes and to remind them of your website address for all the details they may need. (I'm guessing many have heard about the fire and know you've been figuring out new plans.)

I'm sure this has been incredibly stressful, but I'm glad you have your dates/venues locked in again and can get back to planning. Good luck! Smiley heart
