Should we push it back?

Okay so we had somethings pop up which caused us to dip into our savings ☹️ And now we need around $1500 (no one in our family’s are willing to help either ) in order to have our wedding still and I don’t know if we should push it back or what 💔

I'm with PP's...if you have vendors paid then I would find a way to pay the money. Pushing the date back might interfere with vendors and you could end up basically paying them twice. I would be doing anything to make the payment. Uber, Lyft, Uber Eats, Door Dash, have a Yard sale, sell stuff on E-Bay, etc. Good luck to y'all and you have a little over a month and some change, I bet if y'all buckle down you can find a way to make it!

See it's always worth asking! The worst they can say is no but some of them know that you're gonna be receiving money for the wedding and will extend payments for a few weeks after the wedding Smiley smile

I’m not sure where you bank but I know 5/3 bank has a cash advance option. I have that available to me and it’s tied to my checking. I always remember that in case of an emergency. I don’t know much more then that unfortunately because I’ve never used it. If you belong to a credit union then they are easy to work with on loans. You could still try to sell things but know that may be difficult. If all else fails maybe you could talk to your creditors and see if you can skip a payment and use that money toward the wedding.

Talk to your vendors! $1500 across multiple vendors is not actually that huge and they might be happy to work with you!

What do you need the $1500 for? Is it for necessities or just wants? If you can go without it, don't stress and put yourself into debt. Simply don't buy it, order it, do it. If you can't or refuse and you are unable to work, sell things or take something on credit then yes you will have to postpone it. I would rethink how much you guys really need these things as well as how to get the money. A lot of things are unnecessary and as another poster pointed out, invites have gone out already.

I read some of the other comments that suggest it is for vendors? Talk with them and see about payment plans. Some vendors have financing too. Either way I think you both will have to find a way to get the money as most vendors, depending how far in advance the wedding is, won't really be able to reschedule. There are many other weddings being booked and happening too. Hope it works out for you

It was to pay the rest of the venue off I was able to find somewhere else! That we only need $300 for and included tables and chairs we’d get it thurs-Sunday ☺️

I would push it back until you're in a better financial situation. Due to the financial restrictions, you not working, and being underage it's my opinion that it would only benefit you to postpone such a big life decision.

Can you get a job waiting tables? That's quick cash since you dont have to wait for a paycheck.

It looks like you have four months until your current wedding date. That’s still a long time to save $1500. It seems a little much to push your wedding date back for only $1500. Plus, you’ll lose out on deposits etc. from vendors. Is there anything you can cut to lessen the $1500 amount?

I went back and read some of the posts. Looks like you got it handled. But hopefully the wedding overall isn’t breaking you where you’re starting your newlywed with zero dollars. 😬

I wouldn’t normally suggest it, but what about a credit card or personal loan?

Wait, you're 17? And you're not working, don't have a license, and are not in a stable financial situation? What's the rush to get married?

I have it all figured out thanks though.. we’re actually getting married “so soon” because we’re planning on adopting a child 🙃
