Should i travel right before my wedding??

My cousin is getting married 3 weeks before me. Her wedding is all the way on the other side of the country in North Carolina (I’m in California). The deadline to RSVP is next week. I’m not sure if I should risk it so close to my wedding with COVID because I don’t want to get sick. If I wasn’t getting married so soon after I would definitely go. I’ll feel bad if I don’t go though. I’m not sure what to do. Help?!

Oh man, that's a tough choice. Is she going to have a lot of precautions at her wedding? I'd almost be inclined to say no, simply for the reason that you don't want to get sick before your day.

I would pass-not only because you have your event soon, but with travel and exposure you are then opening the risk to all her guests and to all of your guests. I’d pass on all weddings unless a local micro wedding with all the same guests and all precautions.

Yeah I think I will end up passing. I’ll still send a gift and I’m sure they will understand. My wedding is going to be a local micro wedding. I had to cut back a lot because I wanted to make sure it was safe.
