Should i keep planning or give up?

Katie, on March 17, 2020 at 6:24 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 7
Hello all! My wedding is June 20 this year. I am at a complete stop emotionally. I’m so unsure of what to do. There are still a few things that we need to do; but with everything going on is it even worth it? I fear that I’m doing all this planning but at the same time I fear that if I don’t plan enough I will run out of time 😭 I want more then anything for life to go back to normal

This is exactly where I'm at too! May 23rd wedding.... I was so excited to be in the final stretch but now I'm wishing we would've pushed our date further.

After a couple days of my own pity party, I decided to keep planning as if nothing was going on (FOR NOW). me and FH are going to reevaluate next month. BUT for now, I am trying to stay off social media and avoiding too much exposure to COVID19 news (that isn't updates from the CDC or WHO). I want to have hope as long as I possibly can. Going to keep planning on. If we have to reschedule, it will just mean more has been done.

I feel ya! I'm afraid of getting excited about the wedding because of the possible disappointment I would feel if I had to postpone Smiley sad Mine's in late June as well.

Keep planning and try to enjoy it. Hopefully things will have calmed down by then. Maybe just pace yourself, but still keep going. My wedding is mid June and under 50 people, so my venue is still a go. Just don’t panic.

We have the same wedding date. Honestly I was ok until yesterday. I cried, cursed, and cried some more. Ultimately we decided to keep on planning and not to give up. We figured our wedding could be a beacon for better times over the next few weeks Don’t give up! Keep planning and focus on the positive.

June 27th, everything is pretty much DIY aside from officiant, our photographer, and catering. Having ceremony/reception at a family private location. And we will be maybe 75ppl max. I'm not too worried yet. If anything we may need to reschedule our Honeymoon which would be after the 4th of july to FL till the 11th.

Hi there, so sorry you are going through this too, you're not alone! Our wedding was planned for June 13, 2020. I've just posted a lengthy message regarding this issue. I think it would really help you to read it.
