Should i do my own wedding makeup?

This really depends on what look you’re going for. For me, I would spend way more on product and brushes that I would probably never use again than just paying a MUA and not having to worry about teaching myself how to achieve the look I want. If you’re going for something simple, it may work out, but just keep in mind that makeup, even drugstore brands, can be very expensive.

One of my bridesmaids is really good at makeup and I wear makeup often and like to say I'm pretty good at makeup so we're all doing each other's makeup and since we have the product and the brushes I think it's totally worth it just to do it yourself.

Yeah, for me, it's just too much for me to have to do/worry about on the day of. Plus what PP said about the products. I would have to spend a ton of money, and have all kinds of products left over that I won't use--or at least not much. So, instead, I'm spending that money on a makeup artist. I was really happy with my makeup trial, so I know I'm making the right decision. Also, it all goes with my princess vibe, and being pampered on my wedding day. In my everyday life, I'm everyone's go-to person. Mom (me) is pulled in 12 different directions on any given day, taking care of everyone I love. I never get to feel pampered and spoiled. This is my one day to have that feeling, to be the one everyone else takes care of. I'm grabbing it!!!

Personally I will be doing my makeup myself, but only because I am a control freak If you feel comfortable enough doing it on your own, I think it's a great way to save some money.

No way! I went to cosmetology school and have had my makeup and hair done professionally. Even with training, I say hire someone. It will look a million times better, you’ll show your photos to your children and your grandchildren and it’s supposed to be your most beautiful in your life

I think it depends in personal preference. I see too many people who get their makeup professionally done and it looks like someone dipped a paint roller in foundation and speckled their face. I'm way too simple for all that junk.

I am going for a lighter, natural look that I know I can do with minimal stress so I opted to do my own makeup. I am, however, having a friend there who is excellent at makeup and hair who will be helping.

I love doing my makeup and do a full face every day. I COULD do my own makeup but for my wedding day I want to feel pampered.

Honestly if I was any good I would do it myself, cause MUA can be so expensive! Unfortunately I lack those skills so will be paying for the professional. I say if you have the time and patience go for it. My sister in law did her own makeup for her wedding and she looked amazing but she said she wished she had hired someone because it took too much time and she was already rushed.

I’m having my mom do it and she is just good at makeup! We did a trial this morning and will just be doing trials until we achieve the look we want. If you have someone close to you that is good at makeup ask them for help if not you can do it yourself by trial and error. tutorials are the best! It can for sure save you money!

Yeah girl!! I'm doing my own because I know how I like mine done, plus I practice quite a bit so while I'm not a professional, I still look good. If you're confident enough to do your own makeup, it definitely saves the money!°

I would say have someone else do it whether a makeup artist or a friend but I think a friend would be fine if you trust them to do it. I am thinking about having my future sister in law do mine instead of hiring someone else, I feel comfortable with her.
