First of all - that is a beautiful dress! Secondly, I was/am a June 27, 2020 bride and we are doing the same thing. I’m planning to buy a less formal dress for the small ceremony. My fiancé and I agreed that we would save my actual wedding dress for our big wedding next year!

We did this too. I saved my wedding dress for our wedding and got a simpler, affordable (and beautiful!) dress for our ceremony on our date. It was perfect

I wore mine at my emergency hospital wedding 2.5 months early. My dad was dying and had helped pay for some of the wedding, I wanted him there and to see my dress. It was priceless to me to give him that. I sure did turn some heads in the hospital, that day. The staff helped me pull it off and were rewarded with cake and food. It did not change the magic of the big day with hubs and handful of others having seen the dress

Ok so our wedding is June 27 and we plan to do this exact same thing....I’m wearing my fancy wedding dress both times! DO IT! You paid all the money for it and this way you get to wear it twice!

If it was me, I would get a simpler dress for the living room wedding and wear the ball gown to the public even (I actually did the same thing years ago with a simple white dress, and later this year we get the big public one with the big dress)
Thats just me though, like everyone else said, do what you feel is best!!!
And by the way, that dress is truly beautiful and you look stunning in it!!!

Your gown is beautiful! I would encourage you to wear it both times! An intimate ceremony at home and then a grand bash later. WIN -WIN!

Knowing me, I’d buy a separate dress to wear for the intimate ceremony. But you know what?? You spend all this money on a special dress you wear once....and this has given you the opportunity to wear it twice! I say do it! 😋

Im team wear it. You picked it for your big day. Big or small its still your big day. Wear the dress that made you excited! Your man will be just as wowed seeing you in the living room. Rock the dress!!! Sadly so many brides are losing or postponing their weddings. Your dress allows it to still feel like the big deal!

Congratulations, Yes purchase another dress if possible especially if you are planning on doing the wedding at a later date. We are considering getting married on our original date 10/24/2020 and do our wedding with our family and friends May 2021. Then you can give the full affect of your dress. makeup and hairdo. BEAUTIFUL GOWN!! You are going to make an exceptional bride.

Your dress is gorgeous! You’re not going to get the answer on here. I say do whatever your hearts desire. We are having a small ceremony in our backyard patio and I opted for a simple ivory dress. I want to save my dress for the other big day and my fiancé agreed.

Wear your current dress.

Personally I feel like if this is the dress you dreamed of wearing when you marry the love of your life you should wear it no matter where the wedding is... if that’s what you want.

Love your dress, btw! I’d probably get a more casual dress and then save this dress for the larger celebration. Not sure if you already purchased a reception dress but if not, I’d wear that.
