Should Bridesmaids Have the Same Hairstyle?

No, I think that's super outdated and pretty difficult since everyone has different hair lengths/textures/types/colors.

No i think it'd be better to let them choose. since the same hairstyle may not look good on everyone

Wow that is a big party! I'm guessing it will be hard to do a uniform hairstyle since you will most likely be dealing with a lot of different lengths and textures. You could set some general guidelines if you want some uniformity, such as deciding weather you want hair down, up, half up, etc. I only have 5 BMs, but I plan to ask them to wear an updo since my hair will be down, but will probably let them choose a back or side updo that suits them. You could specify bangs/hair not in face, or pick out a clip or headband for everyone to wear matching.

I only have 3 bridesmaids but they decided to be uniform. I only gave the criteria that I wanted a broad involved and they all found one they liked. Uniformity wasnt important to me, but I think it will be cute.

Absolutely not. Hair is so personal that I would never ever require someone to wear their hair a certain way (for example i really really hate 99% of updos - but just becuase it's not my preference doesn't mean my BM's are comfortable with their hair down...). I wanted them to feel beautiful and comfortable!

I don’t think so. Everyone has a style that looks good on them and not everyone has the same texture of hair to be able to have a certain hairstyle. Besides that’s a lot of people to have the same look.

Right Keri. That's what I was thinking as well.

I had 3 bridesmaids and all I asked of them was to wear the headband I gave them. They all ended up with their hair mostly down.

I think the same general style is nice. My bridesmaids all will be in the same color dress but different styles. They are all doing some sort of low style or bun.

Then again, I only have 4. 11 might be a different story and I can see where that makes it more difficult.

I told all of my bridesmaids to at least have there hair in a updo style or in curls and no exotic colors. So it really depends on you and your preference.

A lot of weddings do still have their bridesmaids have the same hairstyle, if it’s your preference then go for it! It is not out of style!

It think it is better to let them choose! I am personally going to be the only one with an updo. I do not want any of my bridesmaids "matching" me.

I want all of their hair down and 1/2 back somehow. I am not picky on the actual style, just that it is not an updo, and semi-half up/down.
