Short or Long Engagement?

Officially- short.... but not really

Marriage conversations began coming up in 2017 and gradually increased over the years, with the main hang-up being finances and my fiancé wanted to make sure he got a ring I loved. In 2018 I had the thought, that we would just pick a date and start planning, then he could "propose" any time between then and the night prior to the wedding. It was September 2018 when I decided I liked the date September 28th, 2019 and we started casually looking at venues/vendors online to start pricing things out, decide a budget, etc. September 30th, 2018 we decided to go to Diamonds Direct to look at engagement rings. They were having a promotion that offered a 5 year-no interest payment plan, and while I told my FH we did not need to commit that day, he bought it! The ring would arrive 4-6 weeks from then, and we moved forward with wedding planning

He officially proposed December 23rd, 2018 and we were able to secure a gorgeous venue for September 28th, 2019.

Super short- Less than 3 months from engagement to marriage. We were together 5 years though (included law school etc.).

Long! 18 month engagement. Gives us a lot of time to save & beautiful weather for our spring beach wedding
