Shoes for Bridesmaids

I’m letting them pick their own shoes partly because they are long dresses. I did make one suggestion to them to remember we will be on grass for the outdoor ceremony so stilettos or pointy heels might sink.

I let mine choose and I didn’t say what color but they all seemed to just go with nude cohesively anyway

I would let them pick their own shoes and if the dresses are long nobody will see them anyway.

I want it all matching. 2 bridesmaids is easier though. For the beach ceremony I got them wedges, and for the dinner reception we are still looking for heels once their dresses arrive. We might shop together if the mall reopen. I am thinking to take them to Sam Edelman to try it and buy the one they like. It’s one of the a bridesmaids treats.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing, so they can just be comfortable. They know what height they can and can't wear and I would also want it to be a shoe they could wear again.

Okay, I'm thinking about letting mine choose. I was thinking of giving the color and they choose the style.

Oh yeah two bridesmaids are easier. I have seven, so I'm thinking of letting them pick the style and I pick the color.

I just asked my girls to go with something Gold. With the sudden onset of pandemic 6 wks before the wedding the wedding, one of my maid of honors ended up wearing a pair of nude ones and that worked just as well. I let them pick the style and all that because not all of them are comfortable in heels, but some prefer them.

I'm a big fan of giving a color and letting them choose their own. Everyone's feet are different and what may be comfortable for 1 person may he excruciatingly painful for another. Honestly, my girls wore knee-length dresses and I never once looked at their shoes. I gave the guidelines of gold or rose gold, but I couldn't tell you what any of their shoes looked like on the day lol. Their dresses were a light pink so either of those colors looked good. I've recieved similar guidelines of just a general color for all the weddings I've been in.

Was thinking of doing the same thing because I want all of them to be comfortable. Plus we are going with longer dresses, so their shoes won't even really be visible I'm sure.

I think giving them a color is a good idea. i kind of didn't do that for mine because they all pretty much chose long gowns that would cover their feet anyway

I told them to wear whatever nude shoe they felt comfortable in. If you’re dictating a specific shoe, you should be responsible for the cost.

I agree, I think I'm just going to take the route of telling them the color. They can pick the style because ultimately I want them to be comfortable.

I told mine to wear anything silver. The dresses were long so you couldn't see them anyway.

I let my girls pick any silver shoes. I honestly couldn't even tell you want some of them wore and my girls wore long dresses so you can't really see their shoes.

My girls and I are all wearing TOMS. Mine are sunflower yellow and theirs are navy blue.
I wanted everyone to be comfy but also match and the plus to these shoes is we can all wear them work after the fact. I’m a big fan of multipurpose clothing.
