He planned a secret weekend getaway Nov. 19-21, 2010. We'd been together almost 5 years at that point. We took the ferry to Victoria, B.C. and stayed at an awesome suite at the Empress hotel. I had a feeling he was going to propose during the trip. Our first night there, it started snowing - we were at a cozy bar downtown sitting by the window, but no proposal! Flash forward to the next night - we were on a walk and went to the Parliament building -- it's a huge, beautiful building lit up with white twinkle lights around the holidays. He asked me to take a picture of him - one far away and one close-up. Afterwards, he did the same. During the close up he was taking forever (and was already down and kept saying things like "wow, you're so beautiful"....I coudl tell he was very very nervous. Then he put down the camera and started talking about spending forever together, and I started bawling. Can't believe that was already almost a year ago!

We have been in Vitro process and the week the BIG PROCESS he wanted to go to the park with our dogs. No big deal, we do it all the time. He knew I was stressing and he told me it would be a great way to get out of the house and enjoy the great weather. He got the lunch ready, put the dogs on the leash and we drove down to the park. I knew something was up but just thought it was the IVF stuff bothering him. Ate the sandwiches and then was really excited to tell me about the cupcakes. He knows I love cupcakes. He said I can pick which ever cupcake I wanted and he would have the other one. He opened the box and there was my ring in the frosting of my favorite cupcake. He said some really nice things but I blanked out and started crying... I have been pupped with hormones.

On december 22,2010 we decided to open our christmas presents early since we both had to work christmas eve and day. He bought me 5 gifts and in 3 of those gifts were christmas card....one card said "will" the 2nd card said "you" and the 3rd card said "marry me please" When I looked up he was down on his knees and I went crazy. I Love him so much and cant wait to become his wife

One morning Micah picked up Rachel, blindfolded her, and took her to an airport. Micah is a pilot in Tampa, FL, and Rachel had never flown with him before. Once at the hangar, where the small plane was waiting that Micah had rented, he removed her blindfold. They boarded the plane and he flew her over some of their favorite places (beaches, park, etc.). After that they flew over a familiar pasture, and he jokingly said, “Let’s try landing on that.” Rachel thought he was nuts. He flew over the field once, signaling the photographer and videographer to take their positions. The second time around he landed on an airstrip that he recently mowed. He taxied near the tree line, and they got out and began walking around. Not far into the walk, Rachel spotted an upright piano that Micah had placed in the middle of the pasture. He led her over to it, sat her down, began playing her a revision of her favorite song, The Scientist, by Coldplay, then proposed.

I told my Fiance last minute that I had a living social coupon expiring that day and we had to do dinner that night. I picked her up as normal and pretended the remote to my car died, so on the way to take her car, a limo pulls up...

The limo was fitted with a screen and my friends installed cameras. The laid down rose petals and roses in the Limo and I played a video I made for her.
