Sequin Tablecloths :)

Lynnie, on August 11, 2015 at 2:18 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 19

I am obsessed with them! I will absolutely incorporate them somehow into my wedding. Right now I'd love to have them everywhere - but I've heard they are very expensive so I'm sure that plan will change.

Has anyone else used sequin tablecloths at their wedding? Or just has a pinterest crush on them? Show me your pics or inspiration!

Yes I'm using gold sequin table cloths for our sweetheart table and our cake table.

All the guests tables will have gold sequin table runners. I love them!

I have that same pic in your OP saved on my Etsy vendors. I may use it for the sweetheart table, but the closer it gets to the wedding the less money I like spending.

If the budget goes according to plan (lol), we'll have two as well: sweetheart and cake table!

Have a look at http://www.tableclothsfactory.com. I bought all my linens on here (not sequined but they have tons) and it was way cheaper than renting. Plus you can sell them after and get your money back.

I love specialty linens all together! Sequins are so pretty! I made a compromise with my FH and we are having petal linens which I think are super pretty also! here are my inspirations for both!

We used them on our ceremony table, cake table, and had runners on the reception tables.

We got them from onthegolinens.com, and had a great experience, but no matter where you order from, make sure you do it with plenty of time to spare-- the sequin fabric is frequently on back-order from their suppliers, so you don't want to risk waiting too long and not being able to get them in time.

Your 3rd pic (with the gold tablecloth and orange toned flowers) is exactly what we are doing for our reception! We will do gold sequin cloths on the guest book table, cake table, and head table. The rest of the tables will have ivory satin tablecloths because the sequin cloths are so dang expensive.

I used overlays and they were fabulous. It really added that extra pop to our space. I did them on the cake table, escort card table, the guest tables with the short centerpieces and runners on the head table. I also had them at my bridal shower. The overlays were a bit cheaper than the tablecloths.

Yep, I'm in love with them too! When my mom and I went to our linen rental appointment and I found out how much they were to rent, I decided to just have one for the sweetheart table and the rest of the reception tables in the same color (ivory cream) but dupioni silk. My mom fell head over heels for them too and even offered to pay the difference to deck out the entire reception in them...and while I was SUPER tempted at that, I decided in the end to just keep it on our sweetheart table so it stood apart from the others. They are flippin' gorgeous though!!

Thanks for all the great advice guys! I can definitely see them being on back-order, and I had never thought about overlays or runners!

@Emilie- sorry just saw this. I found them on Etsy. I bought the table runners because it was cheaper (will find something to do with them I guess) and the table cloths are being rented and shipped to us a few days before the wedding.

They are a bit pricy but I loved them. FH didn't want them on EVERY table because he thought they would be too much. We are doing a gold one on our cake table and still looking into doing one of the escort card table and. The rest of the tables will have navy organza runners.

I am getting those exact ones for our reception! We are renting them for all of the tables and even draping the wall with some... it's costing us $450 but I think it'll be worth it. Buying them was crazy expensive and cleaning them is expensive!

Runners and overlays are a great way to add sparkle without having HUGE cost. When I bought my runners, they were on sale from $15 to $10.

Also, another heads up: I had to buy the runners in multiples of 4-- so, I only needed 10 but I had to buy 12. It didn't add a whole lot of cost, but something to consider if necessary.

Make sure your venue let's you use them. There's a specific clause in my contract the talks about sequin tablecloths. We are not allowed to use them and if we do they can charge us $500 for extra cleaning. They are very messy.

I ordered one pretty large one from efavormart.com for I think $45 for our cake table. Would've loved to be able to afford all of the tables but couldn't justify spending that much. We paid $7-something for white for those. The $45 price is a bargain for 1 but way too much for 20 of them, hah.
