September Brides/grooms! What have you got left to plan?

Rosie, on May 19, 2021 at 9:22 PM Posted in Planning 1 10

How are you all going, and what do you have left to do?

we are on the 18th, and I'm so excited, but also nervous that there's something important we have forgotten to book. We have mostly boring, non-fun stuff left to plan -

* Finding and buying some wooden rounds for the bridal party to stand on during the ceremony so they don't sink into the grass

* buying and figuring out the tech for our streaming service

* seating chart as our RSVPs are finalized (definitely not looking forward to this one, I've been told its awful, but hopefully we'll sail through it!)

* speaking to our celebrant about the specifics of our ceremony - we've written it all out, just want to check details with her and feel confident we're across everything!

Other than that, we do have one fun thing left - a tasting lunch to decide on our menu!

How about you? are you nervous? Excited? Overwhelmed? Tell me everything!

Hi! I am also getting married on the 18th of September!! I am so excited! So stressed and overwhelmed at the same time. I feel like I still have so much to do with such little time that I don’t even know what to name off lol

9/23 bride here! Starting to get nervous as the days go by, mostly because I keep thinking I should be doing more but most of the big stuff is done! It’s all little details now (feels overwhelming when I list it out but it’s not as much as it seems lol!) What’s left:

    1) scheduling our rehearsal dinner (we’re renting a cabin near the venue where we’ll be staying, and having a local restaurant cater it)
    2) finalize streaming plans for guests that can’t make it
    3) pick outfits for my two ring bearers
    4) help my mom pick her dress and my dad pick his suit
    5) order some decor details like signature cocktail signs, vow books, ring boxes, and favors
    6) order cake from local grocery store
    7) pick my jewelry and shoes
    8) get my dress altered
    9) finalize travel plans for our destination wedding
    10) finalize ceremony layout/readings with officiant
    11) finalize songs for the ceremony & reception with DJ
    12) finalize bar menu and order alcohol
    13) send invites
    14) create seating chart and place cards once RSVPs are back
    15) get gifts for bridal party
    16) pick outfits for engagement photos, shower and rehearsal

Hi Wedding Twins! I am also on 9/18 and am feeling SO behind in relation to you three:

    1) re-book hair/mua - first one canceled

    2) decide between 2 florists, 2 bakers, finalize rentals with the venue and pick my menu - all being decided next weekend when i travel to my (semi) destination

    3) purchase veil & jewelry

    4) order my Jewish items - ketubah and kipot, maybe a glass to break

    5) finalize my playlist with the DJ and Quartet

    6) INVITATIONS OMG FREAKING OUT ABOUT THIS ONE (save the dates sent but paper invites are behind schedule) followed by seating chart once rsvps are collected

    7) alterations

    8) plan rehersal dinner - FMIL is helping on this one

    9) plan goodbye brunch

    10) check in with bridal party (and Hubby) on their outfits

    11) pick out hostess gifts for my bridal shower

    12) gifts for parents (his and mine)

    13) buy wedding bands

    14) marriage license

    15) wedding favors

    16) work on timeline with my planner

    17) write thank you speech/ confirm who will be giving speeches

LESS THAN 4 MONTHS - MORE EXCITED THAN STRESSED - WE CAN DO IT!

Yes!! Yay wedding triplets! We can do it!
You’ve reminded me of some stuff we also have to do - menus are scheduled for closer to the day for us too.

And there’s plenty of time for you to finish those things, just take it step by step, task by task.
    We’ll get there!

Wedding Quintuplets! 9/18/21! We have fiddly bits to do, in addition to invitations. We're in NYC, so we're holding off because we're not sure how many people our venue will allow. Right now we're at a 2/3rds of our original guest list and we don't have to uninvite people if we don't HAVE to, so we're waiting to send things out.

I still need to get my dress made, but I'm in constant contact with my dressmaker, MOH, so I'm not concerned. I need shoes and jewelry, but again - I'm not concerned.

Oh wow it’s a popular weekend haha! We’ve made a good choice ladies!
Fingers crossed you will be able to have all your guests.
And I feel like shoes and jewellery will be nice and easy to sort in a big city like New York! What sort of dress are you having made?

It's going to be a royal blue with a celestial theme and silver cincher/corset.

Ooh pretty! I really love the idea of a coloured dress. It sounds like it will look incredibly regal!
