Any other September 2019 brides out there? I thought we could share where we are at in our planning process. I have booked my venue, wedding planner, bartender, DJ and officiant!

I'm right there with you on the guest list. We can invite a max of 150 (including ourselves). I don't personally even want that many but my FH has a bigger family so we will be inviting more than that I'm sure! Definitely stressful.

    Update on my planning:

-I have a meeting with possible caterer Sunday (second time we've had to reschedule for illness & weather)

-I have a meeting with possible florist next month (second time we've had to reschedule for weather)

-Bakery starts their 2019 tastings in April so I am SO EXCITED! Just waiting to hear back once they start their openings. Smiley love

-Photography has been the most difficult task to conquer thus far! I have one potential that I may be meeting with next week. Fingers crossed that the end is in sight.

As you can tell, I've had to reschedule a few times! I can thank the lovely New England weather for this. I've been a bit stressed! LOL Smiley winking

    Hi! I'm Sept. 28th, 2019.

So far, I have my venue booked (includes rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, decorations, catering, desserts, bartenders and 2 djs).

Our first tasting is scheduled for Apr. 21st!

We have narrowed down our guest list... if you can call it narrowing down... to 157 guests, lol.

We also have all of our bridesmaids/groomsmen, MOH and BM picked out. I ordered my bridesmaids'/MOH invitations and am in the process of hand-delivering them. First one will be given out tomorrow!

Next on the list is the photographer and setting up a time and date for our engagement pics!

Hi! I'm a September 2019 bride also! 9/21/19 - I have reception venue, caterer and bartender done. Searching for photographer now & going to ask bridal party in about a month. Head is spinning with when to start dress shopping, invitations, & booking DJ!

Went to a tasting today with a potential caterer AND WE LOVE HIM AND THE FOOD! Another thing checked off our list. I am so happy! Now it’s just bakery (tasting next month), florist (meeting next month), and trying to figure out photography!

It’s crazy how much I already have done when I actually sit and look! I feel like I’m stressing on a lot of the small things. Has anyone else been feeling this way yet with our wedding month is still so far away?

September 8, 2019 at Clarks Landing in NJ!!

So far we have booked our venue, photographer, videographer, officiant, Dj (waiting for contract), I have asked my girls and we are going dress shopping in july (one of my BM lives in China and won't be home again until our wedding) & i just started dress shopping, HMUA. We are planning to meet with florist over the summer and pick exact location of ceremony (beach). We still need to book trolley, STD, invitations and all the little things.

Wow I feel so behind! My FH and I know we want to get married in September, but haven’t booked anything yet. Thinking of 9/1/19 as a potential wedding date. FH graduates college in May so I’ve been holding back on wedding planning so he can focus on finals!

Sorry to hear about all those different family things happening. Just take it a day at a time. First major thing is to decide on budget. Once you have that set, choosing your date will be good. You have over a year, so those out of towns guests will know plenty in advance about your wedding. Don’t stress about them. The day is big for you two, and if they really want to be there to share it with you, they will be. Have you researched any venues yet? I did that a lot before deciding on a set date and before touring and booking.

Hey guys! My wedding is 9-7-19. I have my venue and photographer and now I’m questioning my ceremony time based on the sunlight. I’m in Colorado and in September the sun usually sets around 7:30. Any suggestions around what time I should do my ceremony to get good photos of the ceremony but also for after the ceremony?

We are still in the process of trying to determine everything. We only have the colors set (finally) and that's about it, lol.

I'm from New Hampshire so I can't really comment on how Colorado can be with the sun, lol. However, usually about 90 minutes before sunset has great lighting. This would give you plenty of time to get some great pictures. If you have a larger family with whom you'll take lots of pictures with, or if you have a longer ceremony, I would start it a little sooner.

Does your venue have a DOC or did you hire one that you could discuss this with?

A good example for timing from online that I found would be:

    5:00 p.m.—Invite time
    5:15 p.m.—Ceremony starts
    5:30 p.m.—Ceremony ends
5:30 p.m.—First round of food comes out / Bar opens
    5:30 p.m.—Music starts inside
    6:30 p.m.—Pre-sunset portraits
6:45 p.m.—“Dinner” rounds of food come out
    7:07 p.m.—Sunset
    7:15 p.m.—Toasts
    7:30 p.m.—First dance
8:00 p.m.—Couple’s “Thank You” toast followed by cake cutting
    9:00 p.m.—Couple and guests depart
    10:00 p.m.—Breakdown done / Vendors out

And you can tweak this however you'd like to add in, take out or extend times.
