This is my 3rd post of the day so don't stone me haha!

Would you prefer a selfie stick as a favor (appropriate for my guests) or a photo booth?

I've attended many weddings that had photo booths, but only one that gave all their guests selfie sticks. We probably took thousands of pics all over the wedding with everyone, and posted them immediately with their hashtag. I personally loved it. I do love the booths also, but I never know where my strips are afterwards.

Thoughts?

I have to add some of my favorite pictures are from the selfie sticks. Our photographers couldn't be everywhere so it was great to be able to sit with Aunt X and get a good picture that was more than just shoulders up.

@Melissa I feel the same way. Booths are fun, but every one is using them now. I am just looking for something different.

The lines for photo booth take a long time. We have 150 guests, I would probably not want to wait too long for it.

@Jessi Did you have one for each table?

@MrsPope. We had 2, one for bigger phones, one for smaller. H and I also shared one that we mostly used for the afterparty.

Selfie stick for sure! You dont want all your guests packing a photobooth while they should be miggling, eating, and dancing.

I'm doing selfie sticks because a photobooth, unfortunately, isn't in our budget!

Because it's another chunk of proof that all we care about is photos instead of actually BEING someplace. They're narcissistic, egotistical and the use makes an assumption that someone is waiting to see yet another picture of....you.

I don't even like the name.

We did a selfie booth. Set it up with props and left two selfie sticks out for people to DIY. I don't know about them as favors since most people who want want have bought one and they're at least $5 each if not $10

@Mrs Pope, when we bought ours they had a S5, Iphone5/6 size and then there was a larger size for Iphone 6 Plus/Samsung Note 3/4. There are some that are more expensive and adjustable but we saved $1.40 each by going for the non adjustable.

I would say selfie stick. I think photobooths just prevent people from dancing. selfie sticks are portable!

Wait- what's this "it's played out?" business- I wasn't aware weddings aren't about "What's most popular"

secondly- photo booths = people not dancing?- so giving them a stick to hold in the air is going to get them dancing and not keep them from mingling?

Not all of them are Bluetooth though. We have one that just plugs into any aux port. @MrsPope...where are you getting yours? How much are you paying? I might steal your idea Smiley winking

We're going with a photobooth because our photographer had a big discount. It prints two strips and saves in a cloud gallery, so both the guests and us have a copy!

Selfie stick is a neat idea too. I've never seen it in action, but we went to a wedding where there was an instant camera at every table. It was fun as the guests mingle while taking pictures of each other.
