Self Tanning for the wedding

on February 5, 2020 at 2:38 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 1 9

Hi all! I am super super pale, think glow in the dark pale. I'm wanting to get a little color for the big day but I don't want to look orange. I don't tan well at all and always burn so I wanted to do a light self tan at home to even out my skintone and make it all cohesive. For those of you who self tan, what are your tips and tricks? Any must haves? What brands do you love or hate. I've been looking at Tanluxe the gradual but am scared I will be orange. HELP!

I've used Jergens Natural Glow and I actually think it works really well. It works slowly so you'll want to start using it a couple weeks before your wedding but I feel like it gives an even, natural looking tan. I'm pretty pale but I use the one for "medium/dark" skin which works a little faster.

I use this self tanner and I love it. The key is to exfoliate your entire body, especially elbows and knees, before applying. They sell a kit with an exfoliating glove, application mitt, and facial applicator that’s really helpful. Self Tanning for the wedding 2

I would start with something very simple like Jergens Natural Glow! Just to see how you like the results at home.

I used this leading up to my big day to give myself some color and it worked well for me. It's super quick and easy to apply.

I use these self tanning drops and love them! I use the darkest one but they have light and medium shades as well. You drop a few drops in your regular body lotion and just apply it as usual. I love them because I use a few drops for a slight glow or like 10 or 12 drops if I want a really bronze look! You could always test out 2-3 drops and see how you like the color.

I love this stuff. I'm fair skinned and I avoid too much sunlight. I mix this with regular lotion (50/50). I put a small amount of Vaseline on my knees, elbows, knuckles, toes before applying the lotion. I let it sit for about 30 minutes, then I take a shower. I repeat once a week until desired shadeSelf Tanning for the wedding 4

I’m a very pale redhead. Trust me I understand glow in the dark pale.lol I love Jergens Natural Glow. It’s subtle and natural looking. Also it makes your skin silky and doesn’t smell like some tanning products. And best of all not a tinge of orange.

I would just go get sprayed in a booth honestly. Go 4-5 days prior so it has time to dull down. I promise you won't end up looking like Anne Hathaway. lol
