HI LADIES!!! I'm looking for a secure card box? Any ideas where to shop? I have heard more and more lately of people stealing the card box from weddings.

Ours is a rather hefty post box, as I'm quite paranoid about this too. Hard to break into, hard to steal the whole thing.

ETA: We're hiring ours through the same company as the DJ and chair covers - does your venue or DJ maybe have a similar arrangement?

Our venue is very open...and we are just placing our vintage card box (DIY!) in a well trafficked area, where it is visible to all. I cannot fathom anyone I am inviting, stealing!!!

Wow. I haven't heard of that happening or would have thought of it!

Weight actually sounds like a good idea

We're using a wooden cardbox with a lock/key. We'll also have a member of the bridal party checking on it throughout the night. It will also be in a decently traveled area. It truly is sad that this even needs to happen in the first place.

This was one of the most stressful parts for me! Mostly because I could not find a vendor that had a nice HEAVY box that also LOCKED. I found a couple of options that were just too expensive (Over $200!) I had over 200 people at my wedding and I knew most would give us some kind of monetary gift and I didn't want any of the family to have to stress about watching a box all night. In the end I found this box that locks and is def large and heavy enough that someone cant just carry it away. It worked like a charm! Towards the end of the night we finally put it away on the sweetheart table and it looked beautiful. instagram.com/everafterboxes
