Oh, WOW! That is an awesome dream venue! One of daughter's HS proms was there, and we happened to be there visiting once when she was little and there was a wedding going on. Absolutely gorgeous -- but, yes, kind of on the pricey side!

I think do what makes you happy! If you’re having second thoughts about your venue then is maybe something to consider changing since your guest count is not less. Just keep in mind the date might not even be available so don’t get too overly excited yet. Leave it to faith and if is mean to be then it would be.

I hadn’t already booked mine but had full intentions to book it. We had spoken with the venue multiple times and was about to put the down payment down. The doubt kept building up (FH liked the venue but I never really did) and I last minute started looking around at other venues. Ended up finding the perfect place and I’m so happy I went with my gut.

Exactly!! That's why I didn't go with it at first and it broke my heart but now that our guest list has gone down, I've been talking with FH and he's on board with changing which is a huge sigh of relief. I'm excited but it's tiring because we're basically back tracking ya know? Luckily, we didn't make payments to any other vendors (except photography but that's ok because they have a location in Los Angeles).

Thanks and that was the very first thing I asked. I've already been in talks with them and they have a tentative hold on our current date but we're totally ok with having to change it.

Awesome! I'm glad it worked out for you! That's what I'm starting to do now too before we have to make our 2nd payment which will make the rest of the full 25% booking fee. They allowed us to only pay partial and I'm so happy because it's not AS much that we're losing ya know? I'm just glad my FH is ok with wanting to change.
