seattle venues that allow outside catering

Steven, on June 24, 2014 at 11:14 PM Posted in Planning 1 7

Anyone know of nice venues near the Seattle area that allow outside catering? Most of the places I've seen require you to use the in-house cater. I would prefer water views if possible.

Thanks

I found Rock Creek Gardens on the knot which states it allows outside catering.

Here is the page that has other locations that allow outside caterers but are not in Seattle

If you don't mind dealing with the city or county, there are several Seattle and King County parks venues that are available for weddings that are actually quite nice, and very affordable too. I looked in to a few of them before FH and I went in another direction. I found that most country club or independent venues around here do require you use their in-house caterers. Not sure how formal or fancy you are looking to go.

I second the park idea. How many guests are you expecting?

-Axis in Pioneer Square doesn't quite have water views but you can walk to the waterfront if you want: http://axispioneersquare.com/events/events-weddings/ (they might require use of one of their 5 preferred caterers though, not sure)

-Center for Wooden Boats on South Lake Union would be pretty too: http://cwb.org/locations/south-lake-union/event-and-location-rental/

Most other venues that I could think of off the top of my head require using their in-house staff or specific vendors. Good luck!

How large of a wedding? What type of venue? How far outside Seattle would you go? Eastside?

We are planning to have around 200 people. We are open to locations 30 mins outside of seattle.

    Thanks everyone for your input.

I found that several of the yacht clubs in the area can be rented and allow outside catering. I am doing mine at the Edmonds yacht club.
