Seat Yo'Self!

How are you communicating the seating arrangement and table assignments to your guests for the reception? Will you have a seating chart or are you doing escort cards instead?

Can you tell where you found the acrylic chart? We want to do something like that for my daughters wedding. Thank you!

We did escort cards. We used a old slotted door, distressed it, added hooks, and hung them with the favors. I think it came out pretty.

We ordered a large multi-picture frame off of Amazon and we will put our engagement photos in some of the slots and the seating chart in the others.

I found some awesome little treat boxes that we will be putting Lindor truffles inside of, and on the outside we will be writing people's names and table number. It doubles as favor and escort card!

Definitely escort cards, we have 150 people/81 households and we can't find a sign big enough for all 20 tables we need. Escort cards are way easier, less stress, and does the job just fine. Plus we can throw the extra cards away afterwards and feel less bad about it than having a big beautiful sign made and then being stuck with it afterwards.

Escort cards. I love seating charts when done on large mirrors, looks so elegant. But I have too many guests to fit everyone on one

We did escort cards. I always enjoy keeping mine as a memento from the wedding, so I definitely wanted to do that for my guests too.

I bought ones that you can print on your home printer from Michael's, so they were an inexpensive option too.

We are doing exactly what your title says (lol) and that is mainly due to the smaller size of our wedding. However, I will have one reserved table for parents and siblings. Everyone who will be sitting at the reserved table already knows so there will be no confusion the day of. Plus I am doing something a little different and having my reserved guest be announced as they come in just before we come in.

Yep, my Dad pretty much did it all, Wasn't too much to do though. Just a little sanding and adding the hooks. Thanks so much!

So we are going with a custom sign maker out of Denver, where we are located. If you're in the area, you can look for Whimsy Design Studio. Meagan, the owner, is great! We are opting for a freestanding sign like below.

Otherwise I found these great alternatives you can get from Etsy here.

The only nice this about going with a custom sign person is that you don't have to worry about buying a sign you'll never use. Meagan will set it up and take it away to use in other weddings.

Escort "cards". They're actually elongated hexagonal marble tiles and guest names will be written in rose gold. My sales rep (I'm an interior designer) ended up gifting them to us!

Our wedding is small, about 50 guests, and we are doing a cocktail reception as opposed to a sit down dinner or buffet. So I don’t *think* we will need any kind of seating chart. But I am planning to call my reception venue tomorrow to finalize things and that is one question I’ll ask! It will be a mix of sit down tables and standing bar tables, so I’m thinking a seating chart won’t be necessary.
