I have had some issues with the seamstress but she was the only one local. The wedding is where my fh lives, and so I went to the fittings with my future mil who agreed with the seamstress despite my arguments that the dress doesn’t need taking in (I wanted it to look like when I tried it in the shop- I had to size up to fit my bust).
The problem I’ve found now though is she lifted the straps, but didn’t let out under the arm! I can barely fit my arms through it!
We’ve tried calling her a few times today and yesterday but she’s not answering, and wasn’t in her shop when we went by to visit. I do have a fair amount of experience with sewing and have made my own dresses before including a prom dress. So I think I have the skills to fix it but it’s very frustrating when we’ve paid for alterations and she seems to have only done half of it!
Does anyone have any experience or tips for letting out the under part of a sleeve?
The pictures I’ve included are from when I tried it on originally in store and the one I bought a size up before any adjustments but I don’t have any showing the extent of the ‘damage’ on me - I’ll attach a picture of the dress sleeve after I get a picture of it
