Scratchoffs or donuts as favors?

Since we can't do our original candy buffet, we're trying to think of other favor ideas. And before anyone says it, I know favors are pointless to many, but we want to have them.

Our first idea was to do donut holes in a little bag from this local donut shop that we love. We would have to have someone pick them up the morning of so they'd be fresh.Our second idea is to do a few scratchoffs in a baggy with a sticker that says "we hope you get lucky tonight" from etsy. I think this would also be the cheaper option.What does everyone think?

I think donuts would be better. A lot of the time favors get left behind, but edible ones are less likely to be forgotten by guests.

I really wanted to do lottery tickets, also. I thought they would be fun and hopefully we'd even have some winners! The reason we ultimately decided not to is that we realized most people would have losing tickets and then leave them behind as trash on their tables at the end of the night. We went with edible favors instead that everyone can enjoy.

Edible favors are best but it’s ok to skip them too. Be prepared for leftovers.

I love the scratch off idea - may have to steal that one! Doughnuts seem cool as well but may be more of a pain the day of the wedding.

A wedding I went to in 2019 had a donut bar that opened up later in the evening and I was stoked to have a snack to take back to my room (wedding was out of state) to eat later that night/in the morning. It didn't look like they had many left once we left.

We did the scratch off idea at our wedding! It’s tradition in my family for my parents and my aunt to give us scratch offs on Christmas Eve, so we thought it would be fun as our favor. Who doesn’t want the chance to win a little cash?! The envelopes we used were sealed with a glue dot with a penny and still managed to look classy at the tables. (They are on the little plates!)

I love the donuts idea!!! I think scratchoffs would be good too although that could be a lot of additional trash based on how many people are attending.
