If you have your engagement photos done then I say show 'em off. We didn't have our engagement photos done yet and I need to send out the STDs. These match our invitation suite too which I am very happy with.

Our save the dates are a cartoony version of actual pictures we got.

We went with picture. It shows how in love we are and we want the guests to want to come for the joining of our families!

Originally we chose no photo but the ones we ordered had a misprint (my fault). I decided to order new ones and went with the photo because so many family members have asked for a photo since we had some informal engagement pictures taken. I’m glad we ended up having to reorder - I really like the vibe we ended up with on them!

I'm going a different route and sending save the dates and invitations through email. With a link to my wedding website, I think it's very easy to RSVP and get the details on the wedding!

I put a picture on my save the dates. It was a picture of Tyler and I kissing with a sign I had crafted with a quote that said, "He asked and She Said: It's about damn time!" I created them on Shutterfly and had them ordered with the shimmer paper. They came out perfect!

I included pictures from our engagement shoot, but some people ended up thinking they were actually the invites

Definitely went with the photo option! If you get engagement photos done I see no reason not include them in your save the date! We also did magnets for our save the dates which our guests have really enjoyed!

We went with a refrigerator magnet that had 2 pictures on it. Everyone is still saying how much they love having a magnet and that they will probably still keep it up after the wedding because you can never have too many magnets haha. Save the dates - picture or no picture? 11

We did one, and I actually hate that we did. We went out of our way to take the picture (since we didn't do engagement photos) for it and it didn't come out the way I had hoped.

One of my bridesmaids designed this after I Google several different designs and narrowed them down to my top 3. I absolutely love them

My friend designed a little caricature of the two of us for our Save the Dates - everyone loved how original they were!

I've always seen engagement pics included as an insert in the invites..but it's a cute idea for save the dates. Undecided at the moment but the ones I've been drawn to don't have photos.
