Save the dates for June 2021 Wedding

Brennan, on October 31, 2020 at 12:12 PM Posted in Planning 0 19
Is it too early to send save the dates for a June 5, 2021 wedding? More than half the guests will have to travel for the wedding. I was planning on sending them out 8 months in advance, but then I figured that was too early after reading forums here and talking to my MOH who is married. November 5th will be 7 months from the wedding. Do I send now or at the end of November?

I think now is good. Especially with the holidays coming you want to bet the mail rush so they don’t get lost or delayed. We sent ours in March for our October wedding then sent the postponement cards in July.

I don't see anything wrong with sending them out now. I normally receive save the dates about 9 months in advance.

We've been receiving them pretty close to the wedding date the past couple of years which seems risky to me, but maybe all their family and friends live nearby? Lol I agree with sending them well in advance but I've never done this before so I wanted to make sure others thought the same. Thanks!

Now is fine. Don't send them later than December.

End of November at earliest. January better, when mail crush of holidays is over, and people start making spring and summer plans.

I already sent mine out a few weeks ago and my wedding is in June. Many people select their time off requests at the beginning of the year so I would suggest doing it at the latest December.

I always say the earlier the better there is no harm in people knowing in advance I sent mine out 11 months prior because of it being in the summer and people plan vacations I would do it now for sure!

We sent ours out in early December for our July wedding so I think you are fine to send them out now. I had wanted to send them out sooner, but my husband delayed us because he was making them.

My wedding is June 4, 2021 and I’m waiting until December like the first week to send mine. I would have sent them earlier but due to covid I just want to see how things goes and give myself as much tome as I’m able to make final decisions about the guest list due to current stats on cases in our area.

I would send them now- that way they don’t get mixed with holiday cards.

6-8 months in advance is pretty standard. I think sending them out in November is a good time frame.

Now is good! I just dropped mine off on Halloween for my July 10 2021 wedding!

If things go back to normal people are going to want to vacation or do things to make up from this year so giving a notice is perfectly fine.

Also came to the point if things dont get better then we will send out letters telling them we have to cut because of covid. Hoping that isnt the case but waiting till May to make that call
