Save the dates (are these tacky)

Not a fan of the blurred aspect. Don't really care about the kissing part, just don't like that its a blurry pic.

Our colors are that cherry pink color and gold with some cream and chocolate browns. That's why we chose something with gold and added the pink. I wouldn't have gone with the black background myself but, that particular STD was the only one we really liked the most.

Crap...when I took a look at your follow up post, Butterflykisses, I thought, "OMG,...I hope I didn't offend her. The person I said was a man is obviously a woman!" My apologies (but, hey, we all know it's a blurry pic, lol). Listen, I like the picture, but I'm not in the majority. Send out whatever feels right to you. Love isn't always pinpoint sharp or 20/20 -- that's why I like these blurry pics. It could be anybody, and I like the thought of any two people falling in love.

LOL no offense taken, TCF. She is mistaken for a man sometimes, even without being blurry.

I think the kiss is fine, not crazy about the blurriness though.

It doesn't bother me. I think tacky is a little harsh. I will say I think the red text is a little weird. Maybe because there is no other red.

My Save The Dates have a picture of us kissing. But you know I break all of the rules and I dont care. I do me and what my fiance likes. So call me tacky.

I wouldn't be embarrassed by it. I don't think it's tacky either. Have you tested the STD with any other photos?

I don't think they are tacky. I actually like the pic, but I think that the pic and the std template don't necessarily go. Maybe try a different pic with that template or if you want to keep the blurry pic, change up the background for it. The black and gold are more like festive and almost New Years. The pic is more romantic. One is cute and fun and the other more artistic and romantic. I hope that makes sense. But I like the pic.

I don't think it's tacky at all. I think you should make all the text, except the date gold though. I also like the idea of trying a different pic with it. I see pictures of couples kissing on stuff all the time.

Not a fan of the blurry picture. I'd want to know who it is. Your already facing each other (so its hard enough). It really didn't add anything for me. A friend of mine had what I considered a very beautiful and natural engagement photo session. Her FH got her all dolled up for pictures and propsed during the shoot. But they did not use a picture on the std. It was my first time getting an std w/o picture it was nice but it looked more like an invitation. But nice nonetheless

I don't think they are tacky. Maybe try out a couple more photos though. Play around with it some more. If you're questioning it then maybe you will find something you like better.

I don't get what makes it "tacky" but it does SCREAM new years eve to me... I was surprised to see your wedding is April.

I agree with Snarky. It does look like it's for a New Years Eve wedding.

The font is kind of disco so maybe your mom is not into the groovy 70's. Can you change the red lettering? Gold would make it look great.

Whoever is saying it's tacky doesn't understand the meaning of the word. I would think it implies "racy" or "steamy". I actually like it, but I understand why it's not everyone's cup of tea. And I agree with Snarky, it says NYE to me.
