Your Save the Dates should go out 6-8 months in advance of your wedding. If your venue is a destination for a lot of guests (out of state, etc), you could send them up to 10 months in advance (so about now). We sent ours 9.5 months out, but only sent them to our VIPs and out of state guests.

Invitations should go out 6-8 weeks before the wedding. with an RSVP date a week or so ahead of when you need your final numbers. With your date in November, I would send out invites around mid-September.

    Hey Monica Smiley smile

According to this WeddingWire article (When to Send Save the Dates), for a destination wedding, couples should send their save the dates out eight to 12 months before the big day. If you’re planning a hometown wedding, four and eight months in advance is the best time frame. With invitations, couples should send them out two to three months before the big day. If you’re planning a hometown wedding, they’re typically sent out six to eight weeks in advance.

As your wedding is out of town, I agree with Nicole. Somewhere around the 8 - 10 months mark would be best for the STD and 8 - 10 weeks for the invitations.

Do you think this will work with your current planning timeline?
