Sandles as wedding shoes?

Chelsea, on March 10, 2020 at 10:12 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

Anyone buying cute wedding sandles? I am getting married in July and I hate heels. Was thinking sandles. Anyone else?

I originally planned on wearing sandals for our wedding and I found a lot of cute ones on Amazon. I ended up wearing personalized TOMS, but I would've definitely gone sandals/flats before heels!

Here's the link to the discussion I posted about them!

I always wear the little stretchy no show socks with my TOMS, otherwise my feet will sweat too! I was really comfortable in them all day and it helped a lot given that our ceremony was outside. Two of my bridesmaids chose to wear heels and it was a little difficult for them to walk because the ground was so soft lol. You can buy TOMS like the ones I made on Etsy, but I had a lot of fun making them myself and it saved me a couple bucks too Smiley smile

Sandals sound great! Not sure what will go on my feet yet but definitely flats.

I am!!! I'm always too warm, regardless of season. My feet are my thermostats, so keeping them cool means keeping me cool. With that in mind, I'm getting married at the end of May, in my hometown which gets notoriously hot that time of year. So, sandals for me!!! I'm looking for something sparkly, probably silver, with NO heel. I saw some pretty options on the DSW website. I'm going to go there this weekend and see if I can fall in love with something!

I'm wearing sandals! I don't enjoy heels and even the short heels I wore for a friend's wedding hurt terribly after standing for the ceremony. I got mine off of Etsy from Magosisters. She hand makes them in Greece!

Not at all! Mine were a little pricey, but I am planning on wearing them on the honeymoon and any time dressier sandals are appropriate.

These are the shoes I ordered (not my feet) and they came looking exactly like this. The lady is super sweet and very helpful and fast. I will say, be SUPER careful of ads you see on Pinterest for shoes. I found this same picture but it sent me to a Chinese drop shipper. I did a reverse image search on Google and found the MagoSisters shop on Etsy. I actually messaged her asking if she was the original designer. She was, people are stealing her photos and selling fakes. Anyway, I highly recommend her products even though they are a little more expensive. Oh, and they fit beautifully!

I'm doing a very short wedge that is much more of a sandal than it is a heel. Our wedding ceremony is outdoors at a garden so actual heels would just make me fall. I also have to go up about two steps into a stage area. I got mine from Justfab, they ended up being about $45 total. Although I didn't need anything super fancy. No one is going to see my feet anyway.

Also, after posting the picture of my shoes, the heel looks a lot higher in that photo than it is in person. Lol

My initial plans were to wear cute low-wedge sandals with my dress, but I've since changed to custom embroidered chucks.
