Is this a thing? Maybe I'm too old fashioned and out of the loop...

    I mean....if I forgot to send an rsvp and it was someone I knew well I would probably just send them a fb message.

    Kylie, was it in a private page or open for everyone to see?

    @Kylie - Stop spreading nonsense, it's a wedding, not a backyard BBQ

    It's not nonsense, if it worked out well for the bride and her guests...

    To each their own.

    No just no! The only thing I'll be using FB for is to private message people asking for their address/phone number/email if I don't have it.

    Sangele i assume it was an event page which only those invited can see. My cousins wife did one in addition to her save the dates and formal invitations. I didn't end up going to the wedding but from the looks of the page it seemed to be going smoothly.

    I told our (16) guests the date through private fb messages/text as an STD, but we're going to send actual invites when the time comes...

    If I don't have a person's phone or email then they're probably not getting an invite to my wedding. Old fashioned me:

    I had a few friends send me a private message but some commented on this...my RSVPS were coming in slow & I made a public post on FB that said if you got something in the mail with a stamp on it that means return it " no matter who you are" GEESH! I know it's not proper etiquette but where I'm from people don't appear to know what RSVP means. They just assume oh she knows I'm coming & besides I could have done something else with my 48 cents. Smh! Sorry...lol!

    Not everyone has Facebook. So how does something like what Kylie is talking about work? You'd have to have a FB page AND order and send out invites for those who don't use it. Why not consolidate your work into just paper invitations?

    FFS

    Did people forget what life was like before Facebook?

    Jesus Christ.

    Exactly! FB is NOT a reliable or appropriate source of communication, especially for a wedding, IMO
