If you plan on having an online rsvp only be mindful of these comments. As I was getting changed at the gym 2 ladies were across changing as well. They were talking about a wedding invite they received. The women goes "I either need to rsvp online or through text." The other women says "well that saves on postage" and then the first woman says "it's also tacky!" I wanted to chime in and say sometimes it easier on the bride but I kept my mouth shut. Good thing I planned on paper invites as well as online.

I made my RSVP cards and contemplated putting RSVP on the website at the bottom (as a second option) but decided to go traditional, leave it off and will send it with a SASE. I'll still have the RSVP online option up on the website but I just like the traditional mailed envelope much more.

I'm torn on this, and not because of etiquette.

On one side, online RSVPs are free, and through WW I would save a lot of time going to enter them and keep track.

On the other hand, I love the idea of receiving the RSVP cards in the mail. It makes me all giddy like a kid with Christmas presents lol

I don't see the difficulty in checking a few boxes, putting the RSVP card in an envelope that has postage on it, and dropping it in the mailbox. This is the route i'm going because I love the formality of it all. However, I don't think Online RSVPs are tacky...but text RSVPs are a bit too informal for my liking.
