Royal Blue for a Summer Wedding

My fiancé and I are getting married August 2019 on the coast of Maine. He has decided that he wants a royal blue suit and I am so excited! He's a typical NYer and he usually wears some shade of black. I'm having a hard time figuring out what color our bridal party should wear. We love the picture of the wedding party that matched the bride and groom but I'm not sure if royal blue is too dark for August. Please help! I'm looking for suggestions other than blush

In all honesty I think being limited to a certain color just because it's a certain season, is a little silly! We are getting married in April and not once did I Google what colors should I use. We wanted a rockabilly themed with Red, black, white, and gray. Dont think its really "spring" colors but I didnt think twice! Go with the colors you want!!

I think gold or champagne would look great with the royal blue!!
I also love burgundy with royal blue but that might be a little too "fall" for an August wedding?

Everything goes with royal blue so you can choose colors you love.
If you need help with palettes, check out www.design-seeds.com.
You can explore by clicking on your color (royal blue) or search various palettes they have already developed.
You could use a lighter shade of blue, like slate blue or turquoise. Peach would look great as blue and orange are opposites on the color wheel.

I'm so excited your getting married in my home state. I'm also using blue. It's my FH's favorite color. Our shade is sapphire rather than royal. On the coast here in Maine the darker/brighter hues will stand out better than a light color anyway so don't sweat it. So much white and tan everywhere. Although, August can be unpredictable temperature-wise. So plan accordingly.

My FH and his Groomsmen are wearing royal blue, and my bridesmaids are in vintage rose by Sorella Vita it's a little bit darker than champagne.

We're doing royal blue and lemon yellow for our June wedding. Royal blue is great for summer IMO. The bridesmaids will be in royal blue, the guys are going to be in gray vests and slacks.
