Round or Banquet tables?

stephanie, on January 5, 2013 at 6:44 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

What are you having at your reception? We are having aprox 200 people and were thinking of doing round tables w/ 10 at each table but I'm thinking thats going to take up alot of room! What do you think?

We are having 100 guest and doing 12 rounds of 8. Depending on your space Banquet might take up more room.

Round tables of 10 each! Our space is pretty small and we're having 14 of those tables, plus the sweetheart table.

Around here, the type of table that you have depends on the venue. Our venue has round tables (8 per table), which I'm SO happy about. I love the look of round tables.

    Do you have your venue?

We are debating that at the moment too. Will either do 6 at banquet or 8 at round tables. They both have pros and cons. I like the round tables better for conversations but our space may fit banquet better.

Our venue is pretty awesome it's got a lower level with the bar and dance floor dj area etc and an upper level (by 2 steps) for seating we are leaning towards round tables with just a sweetheart table for us

Whichever or mix! We are having a square "head table". Around that three feasting tables that seat 22. And outside of that a mix of round and square. 350 guests. With tons of space to work with. (o:

We had round, 8-10 people per table. But that's what our venue provided.

Personally, I don't care. It's one of those things that I'll allow my mom or FMIL to decide if they have a preference. If they don't, I'll probably go with whatever is cheaper.

Check with your venue! Most of them know what's comfortable in their spaces and they'll be able to tell you if 200 at round tables would feel cramped.
