My fiance and I are getting married January 17th 2020, and our theme is Winter on the beach. Colors are navy blue, silver and white. We live in Florida and wanted a beach wedding, but honestly the heat here is too hot, and the beach is too unpredictable. So we waited till january to have beautiful weather for an outdoor wedding and we are doing it on a lake thats has a beach front feel.

I love the beach! That was one of our original ideas but things have changed. I'm ok with it though cause our venue is close to Disneyland so can't really complain lol

Just swapped out a traditional May wedding for a microwedding in January! Only very close family and one or two close friends. I'm looking forward to pretty snowy pictures hehe. Still going to do some decorating though...working on those details! 92 days!

We were thinking winter in Arizona too! We were looking into the snowbowl. Since things changed course, that's no longer happening but that's ok.

Awesome! We planned on small at first and then it just kept growing. At this point, I'd rather go back to small but I have such a huge family. My mom added more family she wants there but I didn't even really care because she rushed to tell me that she would pay for them so ok, fine lol. That's so exciting though! Snowy pictures are so magical!!

We wanted a fun date and 2020 is full of them! 4/4/20, 7/11/20, 8/8/20 10/10/20 and a few others. Ultimately we went with 2/22/20. Neither one of us wanted to be sweating like crazy and our venue was actually $4000 cheaper because it's not wedding season and it's ours for the whole day. A few of our vendors actually ended up giving us cheaper prices because of the wedding being in February. Maryland weather is usually calming down by then so hopefully at the most it will just be a little cold.

Squeeeee! Loving this discussion! Another leap day bride here! We're doing a microwedding at an Airbnb in MO and having it outside with the hope of snow (but not enough to ruin travel plans). Our "favors" are travel coffee mugs and we'll have a hot chocolate station so people can fill up just before the ceremony. We also have white Sherpa blankets instead of chair covers. Getting excited! Love hearing about everyone's wintery plans; we love the cold!!

I wanted an October wedding so bad I couldn’t stand it. But then the day before we were supposed to go look at our venue, I had a dream we got married underneath a giant Christmas tree. I told my FH who was all about a December wedding! So we decided to look in December, and now we’re getting married December 2nd!

I am getting married on 12/29/19. What inspired me is that I had the absolute honor of attending this wedding years back! It snowed the morning of the wedding and was without question the most beautiful wedding I have been to- even though we had to chain up going over a mountain pass.
Also, I’m part Christmas elf. When I realized that Christmas and New Years fall mid week this year I knew it was meant to be. I wanted a Christmas theme but didn’t want to add anything else to the pre-Christmas madness- so the weekend between the holidays seemed perfect.
The final touch was realizing my favorite place on earth was building an outside pavilion with a concrete foundation so guests and myself would be able to walk without sinking in to saturated ground.
And now I just pray it snows!

Oh wow that's going to be great! I love the snow. We're actually getting our engagement photos done mid December in the mountains! I'm super excited for that. Glad everything worked out for you!
