I sleep in mine. Haven't taken mine off yet. Not sure if that's the right reason, but I don't want to lose it.

My husband and I take ours off all the time, sounds bad lol. We take them off when we shower, do dishes, workout, anything with the risk of losing it. We wear them at night though. I relate to getting caught on the covers, my engagement ring is a heart shape and has a smooth point kinda. I wear it anyway at night

I take mine off at night and I have this cleaner my ring sits in on the little post built into it my fingers swell up pretty bad at night so it’s perfect doing it that way 😁

I sleep with mine on. It’s a decent size, but I turn the diamond around facing the palm of my hand since I tend to sleep with my hand closed. Congratulations on being newly engaged and happy planning!

I have a real nice size ring and it was very uncomfortable to sleep with it on at first 😬 but after just leaving it alone it’s cool now. Don’t even notice it as much now.

I also take mine off while I sleep and clean the house or wash dishes. I think it’s just your preference . My sister in law cooks with hers and everything.

I work in food service so I'm not allowed to wear my ring at work unfortunately, and when I get home I usually don't remember to put it on. I wear it when I go out with family and friends, and when I go to the store so I can show it off! I don't wear it when I sleep though because I'm afraid I'll lose it somehow lol.

I used to wear a short hang necklace that I would put it on when I was working but having to switch it back and forth from my necklace to my finger got to be too much so I just never really wear it anymore. I keep it in my wallet though so it's always with me.

I often wonder about if the stones would loosen..am I being overly paranoid. A coworker has a larger platinum than mine and and never takes her set off. I want to always keep mind on. At work I tried wearing latex gloves went handling things ruffle. But afraid I may pull gloves and 💍 follow into trashcans.

I was wearing my antique ring to bed, and then it cracked . Sleeping in your ring can cause stress on it, so I don't wear mine to bed or even around the house anymore.

During this time I am trying to put it on in the morning to give myself something to start my day. I have a resizing addition that gets very annoying so I usually don't wear it at home unless I go out. Whenever he is home, leaving for work, or when he gets back from work I have my FH put my ring on for me, it makes both of us really happy and take a moment to ourselves.

I don't sleep in my ring anymore because sometimes my hands swell and its really uncomfortable. Being in the house mostly these days I sometimes never put it on LOL. I made a mistake and actually left the house and forgot I didn't have it on. My FH quickly pointed it out. He turned the car around LOL. If its on when I am home; I take it off when washing, cooking and working out. We did get silicone rings that we plan to wear after we get married. For me that means I'll wear it all the time and for him he will wear it at work becuase he is an essential worker.

I basically only wear mine when I leave the house.

I only talk mine off to clean and when I’m putting on lotion. Lol


But to each it’s own. I would say change the covers lol 😂 if you wanna keep it on lol. But it sounds like you got a huge boss ring getting stuck and stuff. Lol 💁🏾‍♀️ Congrats !!!!

I take mine off when I sleep because my fingers swell up at night. And I try to take them off when I clean or shower but sometimes I forget. I have a ring dish by my bed, and in the kitchen so I don’t lose it.

I pretty much take mine off when I get home. I don't wear mine to sleep, shower, cook, or clean.

I’ve asked this question of several women. Both newly engaged and married for 20 plus years. The trend that I see among women who have been married a while is that they only wear it when out of the house basically (minus the gym and gardening).
Personally I don’t see the need to have it on in the house. When I’m home put it up in the ring box. I never put it down on the counter or anywhere I can forget it. If it’s not on my finger it’s in the box. I don’t like wearing jewelry when I sleep or shower. I hate when I hit it up against things when I’m cleaning. My fiancé doesn’t mind, he mainly wants me to have it on when I leave the house (excluding the gym).
This works for us. There is no right or wrong approach.
I also know happily married couples who don’t wear a ring at all. 🤷🏿‍♀️
