Ring is too big!

Hi! So I just got engaged this past weekend and my ring is about half a size too big. Should I get it sized down or get a ring guard? My mom thinks that I should get a ring guard for now so when I get pregnant and my fingers swell I can still wear my ring. I just don't want the guard to take away...

I I am an unpopular opinion but I would not get your ring resized especially if you plan on wearing two bands in addition to your ring. The thicker the the band the smaller it makes the ring. I purposely got mine half a size too big just so I can add to bands.

Resize for sure. I had mine resized, it was a sad, loooong 2 weeks Smiley tongue but it was worth it. My situation is weird, my knuckles are totally normal and my fingers are skinny so sometimes I struggle to get it over my knuckles, yet it spins once it's on my finger. If I went down too much it wouldn't fit over my knuckle, not enough and I could lose it. I wound up going down 1/2 size, and sometimes it still spins and makes me nervous.

Definitely resize it. I had to get mine resized and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to so I got a temporary ring guard put on. I then decided to get it resized and it was the best thing I did because my ring guard was hella annoying lol.

Here's my opinion when we ordered my engagement ring I knew I was going to want either a ring guard or two rings with my engagement ring. My future husband's aunt where's the same size ring as me a 5.5. Her ring barely goes on my finger and it's a thick band. For right now if you plan on more then one band I recommend a retainer this is something you should talk to your Jeweler about I have a personal Jeweler and she totally agreed with me on this

Get it resized! When I’m pregnant I plan on wearing mine as a necklace if my fingers get too big. My ring was 2 sizes too big when I got engaged, and before I got it resized I literally had nightmares about it falling off my finger and being lost forever.
