Rethinking Our Vegas Wedding in May

How many people were you planning on having there?

I live in Northern NV and Vegas definitely has a lot of cases plus the governor hasn't yet announced when he thinks the state will be able to reopen. I think that postponing at this time might be the safest bet.

Dominique, sorry you may have to reschedule your wedding. We were planning Vegas for our honeymoon in July, it was going to be a gift from MIL and SIL. BUT, I feel like you, even if the travel band is lifted, I don't want to go and have to be inside. Everything I have heard about Vegas is about being able to experience the strip, the shows, etc. I hope things are better by then. Good luck to you!

Hi!!! July 17th Bride here! I feel you pain, worry, and anger! This whole situation is just stressful because it is so unknown and seems to change day by day. I am still moving forward as planned for now. But I can see why you would try to keep your options opened. I would definitely plan something further into the summer at least. Like you said you don't want to go and be stuck inside, or an experiment on how re-opening can be. That is my biggest fear trying to re-plan our honeymoon which is suppose to be a cruise. At this point I am 100% sure it will eventually be cancelled, it is just the when now, but I was trying to plan going somewhere else and talked to my fiance about it and I told him I didn't want to be an experiment in testing new social distancing measures wherever we go. I want it to be romantic, fun and worry free, which at this point, it doesn't seem like it is likely. I hope May and the beginning of June bring more clarity. Like I said, I hope you can plan a back up plan so your Vegas wedding can be something you always dreamed about!! I am praying for everyone going through this and my suggestion is to keep the faith and listen to your heart when making this decision!! Sending lots of love

Thank you Dominique! It is definitely a one of a kind situation. I pray that your June rescheduled wedding is everything you dreamed it would be! It is just so unknown and I believe that is where most of the stress is coming from! Thinking of you and every bride going through these tough times!
