Like many others, we've had to cancel our May 2nd destination wedding in Playa del Carmen and we're scrambling to re-schedule and starting back at square one with planning. We are new to FL (currently in the Orlando area), so I don't know the weather/seasons here yet. We are looking in the areas of St. Pete beach, Tampa and/or the Keys and given the currently travel bans that effect my groom, my immediate family and most of our bridal party, I think September is the earliest we could re-schedule. I'm also planning around my brother's wedding in early October.
We really wanted to get married on the beach in the evening and we had planned to have an outdoor reception (but I'm open to having an indoor reception if necessary - I just hate the idea of a traditional hotel ballroom). Does anyone have any thoughts on the weather in those areas in Sept? (Ok for outdoor ceremony/ too hot or too rainy?) Any suggestions for a reasonably priced venue (approx. 50 guests all travelling from out of state) or vendor recommendations? I know this is a very broad and large ask, but we're literally starting from scratch and the thought of starting completely over is really overwhelming right now. I have contacted multiple venues so I'm sifting through those emails now, but I'd appreciate your help!
